Makeup by Mario Lucia Ultra Suede Lipstick ($24.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a deep mauve with cool undertones and a soft matte finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in one layer, which had to be applied in shorter strokes as the texture was a little stiff and firm in the tube without enough glide (even velvety, silicone-heavy glide!).
The product felt very lightweight on my lips, thin but not clingy, and was neither drying nor hydrating. The color applied evenly but settled into my lip lines slightly, which wasn't noticeable until after three hours of wear (with total wear being closer to five hours).
