MAC Emerald Cut Dazzleshadow Extreme ($20.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a deeper, slightly muted bluish-teal with cool undertones and a smooth sheen. It read less metallic than it did pearly when applied to bare skin. It had a really dense, almost cream-like texture, but it was on the thicker side, so it was prone to emphasizing lid texture and was more challenging to work with using a dry brush.
This formula definitely seemed to respond better to a flatter, firmer brush but not a completely flat one--I felt like synthetic, flat brushes didn't grab the product evenly. I could spread it out slightly--easier with fingertips or a dampened brush--but couldn't get a diffused edge. The color lasted decently for eight hours before creasing on me.
