MAC Vintage Selection is a moderately warm-toned, very light taupe with a metallic finish. It is a permanent eyeshadow that retails for $23.00 and contains 0.17 oz.

Editor's Review

MAC Vintage Selection Pro Longwear Paint Pot ($23.00 for 0.17 oz.) is a very light taupe with cooler, silvery pearl and warmer, rosy undertones. When I applied and blended out the product, it took on a warmer, rosier tone--more like it appeared in the jar--but when applied more heavily, it had a stronger sheen that looked grayer.

It had opaque pigmentation with a creamy consistency that was thin and spreadable without being prone to sheering out too readily (so a wash of color was achievable, but it could also be used as a full coverage kind of color!). There was creasing visible after 12 hours of wear, though it did not get that much worse by the 16-hour mark.

Claims / Ingredients

A highly pigmented, long-wearing, blendable eye primer and/or cream shadow – M·A·C Pro Longwear Paint Pot goes on creamy and dries to an intense, vibrant finish that lasts for 24 hours. The innovative second skin-like creamy shadow formula blends smoothly over lids and creates seamless, buildable coverage without looking heavy or cakey. Its superior colour purity stays true and will not streak or crease. Pro Longwear Paint Pot can be mixed with other products, like M·A·C shadows and liners.

Having just purchased this, I can safely say this has become my daily go-to colour. I tried using a brush for application but discovered it blends better with my finger. It goes great with work clothes and casual wear (even by itself). There is so much product I don't think I will hit the pan this year either. It also lasted all day for me (although I sometimes keep it in my bag for touch ups!). If you're trying cream shadows for the first time I completely recommend this! (although I can't seem to find the expiry date on the box or product! haha)

Vintage Selection makes for a great simple, everyday look. I like to use my fingers to apply this and to blend it. This applies very easily and lasts all day. It is also buildable, but I feel it looks and lasts best when just one layer is applied. I have had no problems with this drying out and I have had mine since it was released in the permanent collection. The product is also easily accessible in the pot, unlike brands like Bobbi Brown where I have to use a brush just to get the product out.
