MAC In Control is a lip liner that is permanent in this palette: Nude.

Editor's Review

In Control is a muted, medium-dark rosy-brown with warm undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage with a waxy consistency that was easy enough to maneuver around the edges of the lips but did not work as well for filling in color, as it looked uneven and tugged quite a bit. Once on, the color lasted for eight hours, as described, but it was rather drying on its own. Urban Decay Manic (P, $20.00) is brighter, cooler (85% similar). Urban Decay Rush (P, $20.00) is more shimmery, cooler (85% similar). MAC Cranberry (DC, $17.50) is brighter, cooler (85% similar). MAC Morning Coffee (P, $19.50) is warmer (90% similar). First of all, I prefer the MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil better than the standard MAC lip liner. Is creamier, easier to apply and lasts a very long time on the lips. If I dislike something about it, is the fact that it sometimes sharpens poorly and the pencil plastic gets sharp edges. As for the In Control shade, I really like this color. I'm a brunette with light-medium yellow tone skin (NC20-25) and my lips have a naturally mauvish color. On me In Control is an intense, medium-dark rosy-brown (slightly more brown on my complexion, but more rosy swatched), which still manages to look somewhat natural. The finish is matte, the color is opaque and I use it all over my lips (with lip balm on top, since it's quite drying). I personally find that I can get a nice even application all over the lips with Pro Longwear lip pencils, but it will pull a little. I first bought it to wear it with Brave lipstick, but it's darker on me than Brave.
