MAC Kiss Me Quick is on my that kind of bright warm red, with a hint of yellow and pink. I am brunette, light-medium with yellow undertones and mauvish lips. Like most MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil, I use this all over the lips, not just to line; I find the formula smooth enough for that. The finish is matte and the color is opaque. Because it's a pencil, it will dry out during the day and I feel the need to apply lip balm on top. I just love the color on me, it's a nice variation of red. Definitely a shade you need to try, at least in the store. If I would find a MAC Matte or Satin dupe for this, I would buy it immediately.

First of all, I prefer the MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil better than the standard MAC lip liner. Is creamier, easier to apply and lasts a very long time on the lips. If I dislike something about it, is the fact that it sometimes sharpens poorly and the pencil plastic gets sharp edges. As for the In Control shade, I really like this color. I'm a brunette with light-medium yellow tone skin (NC20-25) and my lips have a naturally mauvish color. On me In Control is an intense, medium-dark rosy-brown (slightly more brown on my complexion, but more rosy swatched), which still manages to look somewhat natural. The finish is matte, the color is opaque and I use it all over my lips (with lip balm on top, since it's quite drying). I personally find that I can get a nice even application all over the lips with Pro Longwear lip pencils, but it will pull a little. I first bought it to wear it with Brave lipstick, but it's darker on me than Brave.

I was introduced to this product when I told a MAC artist that I didn't like the dark pigmented spots on my lips that I have naturally and she came up with this. It's a great base for any lipgloss or lipstick. I usually pair with Mac Oyster Girl Lipglass or Revlon's Mauve It Over for an everyday look for work. This is the only lip liner I use. I've tried dupes, but none match this when it comes to how long it lasts and how pigmented it is. It makes my lips look naturally fuller and evens out the color really nicely. It's worth every penny.

MAC describes this as a yellow based red which is odd to me because it works perfectly with my blue based red lipsticks (most recently RiRi Woo). It applies easily and is creamy for a pencil. It's not nearly as dry as some of the other pro wear liners in MACs collection. This is one of my favorite MAC liners.
