MAC Opera Lipglass ($16.50 for 0.17 fl. oz.) is described as a "dark red." It's a deepened, blue-based red with a glossy shine. I swear there is a very, very fine shimmer that's barely-there. It had semi-opaque pigmentation--there was some translucency so the natural lip color comes through--that goes on evenly. This shade lasted for five hours. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
