The product is supposed to be buildable with a "superfine" texture that doesn't have "chunky glitter." They had more semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation initially, which could certainly be diffused or used with a lighter-hand to achieve more buildable coverage. The texture was firmer, though not dense or thick, and did seem to have a more finely-milled and finer pearl throughout.
That being said, the actual result on skin was moderate in its glow; it did not emphasize my skin's natural texture (which has not been a big issue for me; most highlighters do not, though a few do, so for me it's infrequent that it occurs but possible) but there was enough visible pearl/shimmer that it might still accentuate skin with more visible texture.
