Editor's Review

L'Oreal Always Pearly Pink (756) Infallible 24-Hour Eyeshadow ($7.99 for 0.12 oz.) is a light-medium pink with warm, yellow undertones and a frosted finish. It had good pigmentation applied dry, which went on the lid evenly and smoothly and required little effort to blend out. It was able to get full coverage when I used a dampened brush, though. The eyeshadow stayed on well for 11 hours before it started to crease faintly, which led to definite, obvious creasing after 14 hours of wear.

The formula is supposed to have "24-hour" wear with "intense, maximized color" and a "powder-cream texture." They are absolutely long-wearing, but testing for 24 hours is more than I'm happy to do more than very, very occasionally, though most showed some sign of wear between 12 and 14 hours of wear, so I used that to help determine an approximate wear time. The majority of the shades in the range are semi-opaque to opaque, buildable when not fully opaque, and soft, blendable, and easy to work with. The more shimmery shades tended to be the best and easiest to use while more matte and satin finish shades were not as consistent. You can view swatches of all shades here. I have applied them dry (left) and damp (right) as well.

P.S. -- I have reviewed most of these in the past, but it was years ago, and I felt like as one of the better drugstore powder eyeshadows on the market, it was time to repurchase them (to get the latest and greatest versions), re-photograph and swatch, retest, and re-review.
