The formula is supposed to deliver "intense bold color in one swipe" with a "vibrant and matte finish." The texture is firmer, slightly denser and stiffer, though not to the point where it dragged or became painful to apply. I found that the added stiffness made it easier to get a more precise edge when working with the formula, which was quite pigmented overall.
Despite having a very matte finish, as promised, the formula sat well on my lips and did not seem prone to emphasizing lip lines, settling into lip lines, or clumping around texture, which made it a more flattering matte formula to wear.
