Estee Lauder Burgundy Suede Double Wear Stay-in-Place Eye Pencil ($23.00 for 0.04 oz.) is a darkened burgundy purple with warm undertones and subtle pearly shimmer. It has a very waxy base, so while it glides across the skin without tugging, the color payoff in a single stroke is semi-sheer. It was buildable to mostly opaque color, and while I love the color but don't find the formula to be particularly long-wearing as it thins after seven hours of wear. MAC Nightshade (LE, $16.00) is similar. Urban Decay Darkside (P, $19.00) is darker. MAC Strong Willed (P, $20.00) is cooler-toned.
