The formula is supposed to be "transfer-proof" with "ultra-pigmented color and lacquer-like shine." The brand noted that it is a "bi-phase formula," which means it needs to be shaken for "5 seconds" prior to use, but once applied, it will last for "12 hours." The formula applied to lips and "set" was high-shine, mostly opaque in coverage, and very long-wearing (10 hours) while being hydrating and comfortable to wear.
One issue I had, which is kind of a new-to-me-issue in my life blogging about beauty, is that the product spilled out of the tube when placed on a surface horizontally (e.g. for photos). One issue I had, which is kind of a new-to-me-issue in my life blogging about beauty, is that the product spilled out of the tube when placed on a surface horizontally (e.g. for photos). I can't recall this happening except for when a product's packaging has been defective and the stopper product (plastic insert) came out with the applicator. This didn't seem to be the case here. Given how unusual this is, since I routinely photograph products the same way (laying the tube flat), I do consider it a pretty big flaw as you'll always have to take care to keep it upright.
The texture was very fluid, almost watery in a way, but it felt more like a lightweight gel when applied to my lips. I noticed a slight tingling sensation for the first five to 10 seconds, and it had a stronger scent that was reminiscent of paint and a hint of floral fragrance. I didn't notice that the paint-like smell lingered beyond the first 10 seconds, though.
They are comparable to formulas like Urban Decay Vice Lip Bond and Maybelline Super Stay Vinyls.
