It's supposed to have the "long-lasting powers of a lip stain" with the "shine of a gloss" paired with "medium to buildable coverage" that is "non-drying." The initial texture was almost watery, overly spreadable (and the applicator often picked up more product than necessary, so take care during application) but dried down to a more satiny shine that was less glossy and more like a satin lipstick with some translucency.
The initial shine wore off within two hours, so it looked like a true satin finish--this was true of doing nothing or just taking a drink of a glass as it wasn't transfer-resistant. It had medium, buildable coverage but quickly built to more semi-opaque coverage without an official second layer (just going back and forth to get an even layer of product). A couple of shades were truer to medium and others were more semi-opaque from the first layer.
There didn't seem to be any added fragrance nor taste while worn.
