Bite Beauty #028 The Lip Pencil ($18.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a medium-dark plum with warm undertones and a satin finish. The consistency was a touch creamy, so it applied easily along the edges of the lips and only dragged minimally when filling in my lips entirely. It had semi-opaque color payoff that went on fairly evenly on its own, though I had to spread and even out the color with my lips afterward. The color lasted well for five and a half hours on me and was non-drying. Bite Beauty recommends wearing this particular shade with Verbena or Honeycomb; I think it would work well with Chai (warmer), Verbena (warmer), Rhubarb (cooler), or Pepper (more muted) -- see comparison swatches.

With high precision texture that defines the lip line, The Lip Pencil provides perfect, allover, opaque lip coverage. Bite Beauty’s lightest formula yet, it offers addictively creamy coverage that’s so lightweight it feels like nothing on your lips. The case is an artisanal wood barrel that encapsulates whipped shea butter and three times the amount of pigments for a perfectly defined line.
