Bite Beauty Red Velvet Power Move Creamy Matte Lip Crayon ($24.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a medium-dark red with cooler undertones and a satin finish. It seemed to have the barest amount of ultra-fine pearl to it, which gave it a more luminous, smoother look when applied to my lips.
It had nearly opaque color payoff in a single pass, which applied evenly and smoothly to my lips without dragging. The consistency felt smooth and creamy as it was applied, but it ended up feeling lighter and a little thinner with a touch of tackiness that kept it in place--if it stayed as creamy as it felt, I definitely had a frisson of fear it would feather but did not have any trouble there. This shade stayed on nicely for six hours, left a faint stain behind, and was lightly moisturizing.
The color was darker and cooler-toned compared to the shade in the previous formula.
