Prescriptives’ Exhilarating Summer Collection

Prescriptives’ launched Exhilarating this summer, and I gotta tell you, that green packaging caught my eye. I’d say it’s one of my favorite packagings I’ve seen for the summer thus far. I know some of you find it tacky, but I love it. It’s so bright, vibrant, and SO summer. The Guava Exhilarating Lip Gloss ($14.50) smells like slightly sweet fruit and has this gold and springy green shimmer. It reminds me a bit of MAC’s Springbean lipglass, but this doesn’t feel nearly as sticky, though it is quite thick. I also tried Nectarine Exhilarating Lipcolor ($17.50), which is a semi-sheer coral shade. It doesn’t lean pink, nor too orange, so I actually found myself liking it quite a bit. If you know me, you KNOW I’m all over a good coral lipstick/lipgloss! Definitely a perfect color for summer.

I love these! I picked up strawberry and pink grape fruit. Strawberry is such a pretty color. I might go back and get rasberry but I haven’t decided. Also love the packaging!

I am particularly loving the coral shade, though I have a thing for oddly colored lipglosses, too… so I am pleased to add a green, LOL.

I bought Tangerine and all three of the lipglosses when these first were released, and I love them all. 🙂 I also bought the perfume which is my summer scent so far.

That lipstick is GORGEOUS! And I’ve been getting into lipsticks lately. What makes me sad is the price =( $18 is a lot if you’re starting college with no job

It’s definitely a bit pricier than I’d like, but I do like that it doesn’t have too much shimmer in it unlike MAC’s CB96, which is pretty, but soo frosty.

hi christine im thinking about getting a bobbi brown sheer cheek tint that you reviewed recently but it’s a slightly high price for a girl on a budget. i thought the sheer coral was a lovely shade but you said it was a little frosty. is it too frosty for a natural summer look? and is it too shimmery? will it hold up throughout the day or fade? sorry that was a lot of questions but i want to be thorough. thank you SO much!

I don’t think it is too frosty, so I do think you can get a nice, natural summer look from it 🙂

It holds up for me, but I always set it with a bit of powder (either a blush or loose transparent powder)!
