Physicians Formula Natural Nude Wear Nude Glow Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
Physicians Formula Natural Nude Wear Nude Glow Blush
Physicians Formula Natural Nude Wear Nude Glow Blush ($12.99 for 0.24 oz.) is a light pink with warm, yellow undertones and a soft sheen. Chanel Sakura (87) (LE, $43.00) is darker, more matte. Hourglass Radiant Magenta (P, $35.00) is much darker, more luminous applied. Giorgio Armani Eccentrico (LE, $88.00) is more shimmery, cooler-toned. Physicians Formula Natural (P, $11.99) is darker. MAC Royal Sunset (LE, $21.00) is warmer. MAC Stunner (LE, $21.00) is darker. MAC Easy Manner (LE, $21.00) is darker. See comparison swatches.
The formula is supposed to provide a “beautiful bare skin effect” with a “skin-glowing finish.” It’s a product that is best for light-medium or fairer complexions, as I really had to layer it several times to even get any visible color to show up in photographs on my medium complexion. The texture is very soft and velvety, but it was somewhat powdery–almost chalky at times–yet not dry or really difficult to work with, but it was dense and powdery. It was contradictory, as it felt lovely in one sense but yet had that powdery, chalky feel as well. On drier skin, I think it will actually look powdery if applied with more than a sheer layer. It looked almost matte applied to the skin; it was surprisingly less luminous/glowy than described or even when you look at it when swatched. It kind of delivers on its promise, but it seems to fall a little short–it’s really not bringing out the natural luminosity of bare skin. On me, it wore well for seven hours but had completely faded after eight and a half hours (nothing was left). To be clear, the color payoff is in line with the description, but I think it lacks the right finish/texture to give it that “skin-glowing finish,” and instead looked more powdery than anything.

oh my bows!! the packaging is just so pretty! The colors are too pale for my skintone but this goes on my wishlist for the packaging!
lol!
NYX has new packaging with bows!
The packaging really is super cute 🙂 Too bad that it’s a tad powdery though, that’s a shame. But I still think you look radiant in these pics.
Thank you!
I love really pigmented blushes, so it’s a no for me. I love the packaging though!
Definitely stay far away from these, lol!
It is a really pretty shade. I’m not really feeling the need to go out and buy it though. It’s something I’d buy, but… I don’t “need” it right now.
It’s permanent, so no rush!
I had Rose (a rare opened item returned) and it barely showed up on me….and my skin tone is much lighter than yours. Oh well.
They’re pretty sheer/light!
The packaging is so….cute! Since I’m so fair I might just have to check this out.
Might work for you then! 🙂
I’m a bit afraid to try PF blushes again after the fiasco I had with the happy booster blush, I find them also expensive for the drugstore
They are pricey! They’re a brand that I would definitely wait for a sale on!
Hmmm, not bad for a drugstore blush!
I think you can do better at the drugstore, though!
I just bought it yesterday!I was struggling between natural happy booster and nude wear. Finally I got this coz the packaging is so adorable. So sad it’s a B-… 🙁
Aww! Have you tried it yet, Misa? Maybe you will like it more.
I feel like i would love PF products much more if the packaging were such impractical. I got the sexy bronzer, and the package broke in my hands, making a mess all over my clothes. That basically ruined my liking for their products, but looking at this one i feel like i would like it if it werent as chalky
Oh no!! That is horrible, Elana!
Lovely packaging! Too bad it’s powdery.
The texture was so weird – very soft but not quite right!
It looks really pretty on you! 🙂 Sounds like kind of a confusing product, though (insofar as blush can ever really be confusing)!
Thank you!! 🙂
What are you wearing on your lips?

The shades are subtle and lovely.. and yes so cute!!!!! 🙂 Suits well with your hot pink lippie!
Thanks, Lancy!
I’m a bit paler than you, and I’m surprisingly liking the color. So, next time a perfect storm of discounts occurs (my mother uses one of PF’s regular line blushes daily and goes through 2-3 a year, and I managed to snag one at about $4 last month for her), I will probably get this!
…or I’ll seriously consider getting it. I do only wear blush once a week, tops.
You are sweet to look out for her faves 😉
Interesting package. Not too sure about the product though.
I wish it performed better!
It looked promising what a shame!
I still haven’t tried any of these, but this shade looks gorgeous!
It’s a pretty hue!
I bought this when CVS was running a spend $10 get $7 EB last week and I completely agree with your review. I am the palest of the pale and this does show up on me but it is very natural looking when used alone. I use it over a MAC cream blush and it seems to set it for the day so it wasn’t a total waste. It also works great as a very natural matte eyeshadow wash. I am so sad that it’s not “glowy” at all though. I was hoping for a one step product for my cheeks. It’s cute I’ll give it that and it only cost me $3.00 so who am I to complain? 🙂
Happy to hear you found a way to make it work 🙂
Which lipstick or lipgloss are you wearing? Look so pretty!

Wow, this blush’s packaging is too pretty! I really like the bow at the top (metallic too!) and the transparent cover. The shimmer looks like spray on but I actually don’t mind!
xoxo,
Roxanne
Oh yeah, the shimmer is definitely an overspray!
