Patrick Ta Major Glow Lip Shines Reviews & Swatches
She's Expensive
Patrick Ta She’s Expensive Major Glow Lip Shine ($22.00 for 0.23 oz.) has a nearly transparent base–slightly golden at most–paired with flecks of silver and gold micro-sparkle paired with a high-shine finish. It had sheer coverage with a smattering of sparkle, but it was the least shimmery/sparkly of the three shades available (as of the writing of this review).
The gloss was non-sticky, plush, and like a cushion-y gel; thicker but not heavy, and it was easy to spread across my lips. It seemed to smooth out some of my finer lip lines, too, and had a very shiny finish as promised. It wore well for three hours and felt hydrating while worn.

Formula Overview
$22.00/0.23 oz. - $95.65 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have a "high-shine" finish that has the "cushion and slip of a lip balm" without being tacky designed to be sheerer. If you love a balmy, gel-like gloss that isn't tacky, has a lot of shine, and a bit of sparkle to it (without being gritty), it's a very comfortable, easy-to-apply formula. It's not particularly long-wearing (three to four hours) but definitely hydrating and glass-like in its shine.
The formula had a sweet, minty scent but no discernible taste.

She's an Influencer
Patrick Ta She’s an Influencer Major Glow Lip Shine ($22.00 for 0.23 oz.) has a semi-translucent base that was more peachy-brown tinted with multi-colored flecks of shimmer and micro-sparkle paired with a high-shine finish. It had sheer to semi-sheer color payoff, which was in line with the brand’s marketing.
The shimmer/sparkle distributed evenly across my lips, and the gloss seemed to soften most of my lip lines. The consistency was smooth, lightly creamy but more of a gel-like texture that was comfortable to wear and felt plush without being tacky. It lasted nicely for three and a half hours and felt moisturizing while worn.

Is She Younger Than Me
Patrick Ta Is She Younger Than Me Major Glow Lip Shine ($22.00 for 0.23 oz.) has a semi-translucent, peach-tinted base with a smattering of cooler pink flecks of pearl and micro-sparkle paired with a high-shine finish.
The gloss felt smooth–more like a creamy gel–as it spread easily across my lips and felt plush to wear. There was a bit of product that seemed to get into my deeper lip lines, though it was barely noticeable in person. It had sheer to semi-sheer coverage, which seemed in line with the marketing, that lasted for three hours on me but was hydrating over time.

If I were to get one, it would probably be Is She Younger Than Me because it is like a MLBB lipgloss. Just a hint of color with that pink sparkle is just right for now.
She’s An Influencer is lovely, too. But seems too similar to some glosses I already have.
As for She’s Expensive, it looks blah and bland to me.
I am passing on all of these glosses. I have a number of glosses and don’t wear most of them. Just not much of a gloss person and I have formulas I really love like PMGL.
I don’t know if it’s just me but I find Patrick Ta’s brand uninspiring. I have yet to see one of his products and think ‘I really need/want this!’ I would like to see more innovation, this stuff just seems low-effort.
I have such an irrational hatred of Patrick Ta’s product names, so I can’t force myself to buy these even when they are highly rated. I didn’t know it was that important to me.
I hate his product names too. Mixed in with the corny ~affirmational~ ones are some that strike me as mean-spirited and honestly, anti-women. Who would feel good about themselves applying a gloss labeled “Is She Younger Than Me”? It’s ageist and plays into sexist tropes. As do other names like “She’s Expensive” (women are not products to be purchased!) and “She Must Be New” (often a rude phrase said to gossip about someone). I’m sure it won’t matter to some people, but for me the snide names make it easy to keep my purse closed when it comes to this brand.
I hate the name of that last gloss. So much.
