Pat McGrath Nude Cabaret & Spellbound LiquiLUST Matte Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Nude Cabaret
Pat McGrath Nude Cabaret LiquiLUST Matte Lipstick ($30.00 for 0.17 oz.) is a light-medium pink with strong, warm undertones and a flat, matte finish. It had a quick dry down to a semi-flexible, but transfer-resistant, finish that was lightweight and comfortable to wear.
The texture was smooth and fluid when it was initially applied, but as it dried down, it settled and separated along my deeper lip lines. It had opaque color coverage that wore well for four and a half hours and felt non-drying.

Formula Overview
$30.00/0.17 oz. - $176.47 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have opaque coverage in a "single swipe" that feels "lightweight" and leaves lips looking "smooth." The formula was opaque in a single layer, and the product applied fairly evenly and smoothly to my lips, but it didn't always dry down in the most flattering way. Sometimes, the set result emphasized my lip lines.
The texture was lightweight, creamy, and more fluid--but not heavy--so there was more product on the doe-foot applicator that I found was needed for one application. I noticed that the product seemed to soften and look smoother as I wore it, which was nice as it had a nice, gradual wear-down that was more and more flattering rather than wearing off strongly around the center of my lips. They lasted between five and six hours and felt lightly drying over time. I didn't notice any scent.

Spellbound
Pat McGrath Spellbound LiquiLUST Matte Lipstick ($30.00 for 0.17 oz.) is a muted, medium brown with moderate, warm undertones and a flat, matte finish. It had rich color payoff in a single stroke, which applied evenly but had a tendency to cling to my lips and looked like shrink-wrap after it had dried down.
The texture felt smooth, was fluid, and I didn’t have any issues with maneuvering the product around my lips or along the edges of my lips. It stayed on well for five and a half hours and felt non-drying.

Damn those look dry as hell. Or is it just because mask usage has sucked whatever remaining moisture my sahara skin had left? I felt my lips crack just looking at the swatches.
Spellbound looks like a ripened burnt peach, I love it! Perfect for summer and beyond.
Ow. Tres ow. Tonka is another one that looks radically different on you than on me. I get a barely brown leaning taupe. Usually itβs a brown that looks purple on me. π€·ββοΈ
So strange that Nude Cabaret is described as ‘soft beige peach’ on the Pat McGrath site, and looks it there, too. But your photos say otherwise, so I’m tempted to buy!
Wow – these look so dry and uncomfortable to wear, they would crack my lips in no time. Another reason to prefer creamy lipsticks.
