Pat McGrath Full Fantasy, Naked Kiss, Emmanuelle BlitzTrance Lipstick Review & Swatches
Full Fantasy
Pat McGrath Full Fantasy BlitzTrance Lipstick ($38.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a muted, medium pink with strong, warm undertones and fine, barely-there gold pearl. At times, the pearl seemed noticeable but other times seemed to be covered up by the base color; it was less shimmer/pearly compared other shades in the new finish. The texture was creamy, smooth, and comfortable to apply and to wear, and it was a bit thicker compared to other shades as well (more cream-like). I noticed a touch of product gathered in my deeper lip lines but wasn’t enough that it was noticeable in person. It had opaque pigmentation that stayed on well for four hours and was hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$40.00/0.13 oz. - $307.69 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "one-stroke colour" with "ultra-reflective pearls" paired with a "silky" and "creamy" texture that yields "multi-dimensional shine." The pigmentation varied from shade to shade with more medium to semi-opaque pigmentation that "full coverage," and the amount of shimmer/glitter also varied significantly from to shade. For example, Blitz Trance has a very glittery look on the lips, whereas Flesh Fatale had a subtle, sparkling finish. They had a lot of shine, though, with being wet in feel or all that glossy, which seemed to linger for longer than the average lipstick--the shine didn't immediately dull after taking a sip of something or talking for a few minutes.
The consistency was lightly creamy with moderate slip, but it didn't feel too thick or heavy, so the color didn't slide around on my lips and adhered evenly for the most part. Shades that were more glittery felt that way in the tube as I applied them to my lips with the glitter being less noticeable on my lips, though those who may be more sensitive to glitter may find it at least somewhat apparent--at the very least, this formulation is not disguising the texture of all that sparkly goodness. They were lightly to moderately hydrating, comfortable to wear, and lasted between three and five hours. I feel like the best way to sum these up as: they're sparkling and luminous with medium, buildable color payoff that lasts an average length of time. They did not have any scent or taste from what I could tell!

Naked Kiss
Pat McGrath Naked Kiss BlitzTrance Lipstick ($38.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a medium pink with warm undertones and warmer, gold shimmer throughout. It had a more frosted finish, and I noticed there was slight product in my lip lines and more emphasis of my lip lines came through; the shiny finish camouflaged some of that in person. The texture was smooth, lightweight, and emollient without being too slippery. It had nearly opaque color coverage that adhered evenly on my lips. This shade lasted nicely for four and a half hours on me and was moisturizing to wear.

Emmanuelle
Pat McGrath Emmanuelle BlitzTrance Lipstick ($38.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a medium-dark, pink-coral with soft, warm undertones and a fine, metallic pearl. It had enough lighter shimmer that it had a more frosted/metallic finish compared to some of the other shades in the new finish. It had opaque pigmentation that applied evenly in a single layer. The consistency was lightly creamy with moderate slip but was thin enough that it didn’t feel slippery while on. The finish seemed to highlight my lip lines slightly, though, but it had enough shine that it camouflaged the effect in most lighting. It wore well for four hours and was hydrating over time.

Emmanuelle is such a pretty coral. I don’t have anything like it.
I was hoping I did have something like it! But I don’t think so. Now I have to decide between Emmanuelle and Love Train (only allowing myself one of these for summer …)
Tough choice! They’re both beautiful shades. At least they’re permanent, so you can get the other color sometime in the future.
Naked Kiss makes me think of EL Naked Truth on high octane in the shimmer department! Which I guess means I need to wear EL Naked Truth more often, huh?
Full Fantasy is lovely, too. But looking at the pics, it actually appeared my lip-line emphasizing to my eye than Naked Kiss. Then again, I’m viewing these on my device, not in person.
I always think that it’s silly when people buy things based on the name, but my best friend is named Emmanuelle and I am very tempted! Fortunately (for my low-buy) I don’t think that color would look great on me. And I’ve never seen her wear makeup so it wouldn’t make a good gift.
SO pretty! I love the way these look, the fine shimmer. Great up close shots, Christine. They really give a true picture of what to expect. I wish I could pull off metallic or frosted lips. If I ever find a way to make it work on me, I’m picking a few of these up!
I bought all 9 new blitztrance. They are uniformly amazing. I own about 200 lipsticks, 70 of which are PMG and this is now my favorite formula. Itβs a little different from last yearβs blitztrance release. I can feel the slight grit but thereβs a luminosity to these thatβs just fantastic. It doesnβt look glittery or shimmery. Itβs almost like a lipstick with gloss on top minus the shininess. Hard to articulate. I actually like that they collect within the liplines because it defines and creates texture to lips that make it look less like I have something on them. None of them have migrated beyond my lips into the lines outside the lips, and that does happen with lower quality product (Iβm 45, the lines are starting to show up!).
If youβre in your 30s or 40s and you LOVE glitter but feel too old to wear it, I think youβd love these lipsticks. Itβs like someone put a spotlight on my lips without the glitter chunks. Super super awesome lipsticks and everyone should buy at least 1. Five of them are pink neutrals and very very close match to my own lip color with only slight variation so I donβt think you can go wrong with any of them. Emmanuelle is stunning – itβs a salmon pink like the Audrey Hepburn lipstick Lisa Eldridge describes in her most recent video. I have corals and nothing like that shade.
Get one, get one! You I can thank me later π
Valerie, I am a big collector but you’ve topped me. I’m almost 70 but with great skin and love a bit of shimmer. I was aa bit of a wild child back in the day and only grew up wher necessary.
I love that so much, Susan. I hope to only grow up where necessary also ????????????????????????????
I think Emmanuelle is the most perfect coral lipstick ever….
I so love these colors. I don’t know which to choose. Thanks for the reviews.
I felt the same about the redder colors but have several great reds. They were still eye candy.
These lipsticks look absolutely gorgeous! Might even be worth a splurge π
I donβt see these on the Sephora website. Does anyone know if Sephora will be getting them? Thanks.
Sephora isn’t carrying all shades as far as I understand!
