I was fine reading the press release until I saw a “extremely limited”. How very tone deaf, especially now.
Couldn’t agree more. I think I’m done with PMG. Mother Dearest can just take her FOMO elsewhere. :/
I’ve felt this way all along about the artificially constructed hysteria to get LE products but now, in the times in which we’re living, it’s beyond tone-deaf – it’s downright distasteful, in my opinion.
I hope this new release doesn’t turn into a schmozzle like the last time….and personally I can’t see the value of ‘limited quantities’. I mean if you are doing a production run of a palette, it makes more sense to run a thousand say, than a hundred, particularly when you know the product is popular.
I hope people will be able to get one if they want it. I am very happy with mine and I remember the stress I went through when mine arrived with one pan in pieces.
I like that she is continuing to do these different colorways. Now that I’ve gone off the deep end with PML, it’s hard to tell the Mothership palettes apart, so the difference in color helps. I’m sad I missed the Bergdorf Goodman purple colorway for the Mothership Bronze Seduction palette.
The more I use her eyeshadows though, the more I want to try the colors in Decadence. I really would love to try the silver color, her blues, and Divine Mink! I bought things during her 25% off sale, so I’m good for now. I have a feeling this isn’t the last we’ll be seeing of Decadence, and if it is, I know I have some approximate dupes anyhow :). Maybe I will buy the Divine Mink single eyeshadow eventually.
You’re right Kira, the palette will be restocked AGAIN summer 2020. (I supposed I should’ve passed on purchasing it today). I don’t understand why PMG just doesn’t go ahead already and just make the palette permanent rather than constant releases and restocks. Same thing with Divine Rose, which will be restocked AGAIN (SMH).
Haha, it’s so silly! You’re right — she should just call it permanent. I think all of Christine’s posts made me want to go ahead and snag it in the next round.
Did anybody else utter a few swears when they saw this? Good luck to those still trying to get it.
Yep! I sure did, Rachel! ?
Ditto, Rachel!
Equation: X times highly limited quantities = FTS! Amiright? I’m like Deb, have lippies, but am not willing to play this e/s game. I got the colorful mini mini, and wasn’t so wowed that I will jump through 5 hoops, like a circus terrier to get more. I wonder whose idea this type of release schedule was? I get the hype/fomo/exclusivity. But it turns the process into one big cluster£^€§ and defeats the enjoyability of the product. I get no ‘thrill of the chase,’ I get turned off and tune out.
She should just make it permanent, instead of pulling more out of her a$$ every couple months to create a stir. I got the Star Wars version, and really, I don’t find it worth the hype. It’s beautiful, but not worth the trouble one must go through to get it.
Blues are the only ones in this that entices me and I have plenty of dupes for those!
Don’t use or like the other colors.
Thanks, but nah! Colors, the names, nothing calls to me, except the case. Nice!
Just ordered mine through Temptalia. Looking forward to receiving this palette. I have two of the six-pan palettes and really enjoy them.
Thank you for the support, Kathleen!
“Extremely limited” stock *again*????
Man, I sure do hope that everybody who wants one does get one of these! PML needs to cut it out with the extremely limited stock and supply. It rubs me the wrong way as I’m sure it does many others.
It’s actually been available for the last 5.5 hours 🙂 Not that limited.
Finally she’s making it available to the masses! Five and a half hours is pretty darn good.
Nancy, I think Pat was a secret fan of Hunger Games and was reenacting it the last few releases. She snapped out of it and went back to normal for this release ?!
I agree with you 100%, Dana! The whole “May the odds be ever in your favor” attitude was getting TIRED. LOL!
Nancy, I checked periodically throughout the day out of curiousity (it was still available at 1 EST I think) and then forgot to check til now (11 pm) where it says it’s sold out, not a bad run. There’s also a soothing message saying don’t worry we’ll restock in summer 2020. Guess the PML Mgmt learned something from the Star Wars debacle about not turning rabidly loyal fans into wild eyed ravaging beasts trying to buy products they were determined to get anyway ?
Hunger Games, that was funny. I haven’t purchased anything from PMGL except lipsticks, for awhile now. I got tired of the hype and the photo shopped pictures on IG. I have also felt that she does similar shades over and over again. I would like to see something more unique and not another palette with a gold in it. I do like her e/s formula and love her lips formula so will likely still buy lipsticks but I have the major colorways covered unless she branches out.
Deborah, keep the level head you’re so clearly demonstrating here. Those of us who have drunk deep at the PML bacchanals can’t be trusted not to snap at any given moment and run wild. It’s always a temporary calm about resisting her products, no matter how much we’ve suffered at the Games before ?
Well it’s sold out now, as expected, but the website says “the next DIVINE delivery arrives Summer 2020” so it looks like it will be back on a semi-permanent (or at least less exclusive) basis.
That’s so funny- it keeps coming back and I keep not wanting it ?
I confess I might not have bought it last time around had it not been for the FOMO… and also I’d had a dream about buying it the night before so it wasn’t the FOMO alone though no more a 100% rational purchase. I truly don’t regret it, though, because though I had “dupes” for a few they don’t compare to the dimensionality and finish and I find myself reaching for Decadence all the time.
I fail to see how this benefits the image of her brand. It screams of desperation. Not interested. I have plenty of PM products to hold me for a long time. All of my PM lipsticks are pointless now anyway.
Nicole,
I don’t own a single PM lipstick but would like to someday. Please share why yours are pointless? Do they go bad quickly?
Sonia,
I imagine they’re pointless right now because masks are a recommended, if not required, item in most areas. Many see little point to putting on a lip product if it’s going to get covered (or maybe even smudged) by a mask anyway
This makes so much sense! Duh. Thank you!!
I’m happy that she’s bringing it back for the people that missed out on it, but for gosh golly sakes release enough palettes so people don’t lose their sh*t trying to score it!
I bought this palette the very first time it was released. I’ve not used it many times though, I must confess.
Just make it permanent, why not make all of them permanent and stop the folly.
