Olivia Palermo Soiree Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
Soiree
Olivia Palermo Soiree Eyeshadow Palette ($58.00 for 0.25 oz.) is a warmer-toned neutral color story that featured four matte eyeshadows and two more shimmery shades. The mattes were smooth, velvety, and blendable without being powdery or prone to sheering out, while one shimmer was fantastic, the other was so-so.

Formula Overview
-
The eyeshadow formula is supposed to have "high coverage" while being "blendable and buildable" with being "long-lasting" and "non-drying." The majority of the shades had higher pigmentation, typically semi-opaque to opaque, while a few shades had more medium and buildable coverage.
The formula had more slip to it, as they often felt like cream-powder hybrids, which helped them look more "melted" and smoother when applied and blended out on bare skin. For those with oilier skin, a primer might be a necessith here as most shades had minor creasing after eight hours on me (whereas noticeable fading is more typical for me with eyeshadows at this mark).
The creaminess of the formula helped some of the more sparkly finishes adhere evenly and have more minimal fallout, but I wouldn't say it was "anti-fallout" per se.
The matte shades didn't have the cream-powder feel, but they had a more velvety, smooth, and non-powdery consistency that made them a pleasure to work with. These lasted eight hours before fading visibly.

Black Tie
Black Tie had a soft black base with flecks of silver and black sparkle throughout. I’d recommend using a fingertip to pat this on, as that helped to improve coverage.
- Medium, somewhat buildable coverage
- Smooth, more emollient texture; almost cream-powder in feel
- Lightweight, no powderiness, applied evenly
- Moderate-wearing (minor creasing after 8 hours)

This one is also something that I can see getting at least a few different looks out of. For the most part, it certainly looks perfect. I don’t even mind the black iridescent glittery shade because I would be applying that one over Nyx Glitter Primer. It’s a pretty palette!
Magnum mauve is easily my favourite in this palette: btw..dupes for this shadow are pulling up blushes not e/sās. I would have done amaretto and tulle differently. Less warm.
Gosh, Christine, I really miss your eye looks when you review palettes!
This brand is kicking some goals here – a very soft, smooth warm toned palette in some autumn tomes. Gilded Glimmer would be my favourite shade.
