Neptune

OFRA Neptune Highlighter ($29.00 for 0.35 oz.) is a light lavender with neutral-to-cool undertones and a bright, metallic sheen. The texture was incredibly smooth and cream-like–denser, not powdery at all, but it wasn’t difficult to pick up with a brush–and blended out effortlessly on my skin. It had opaque pigmentation that applied evenly to my cheeks and highlighted without emphasizing my skin’s natural texture. This shade stayed on nicely for eight and a half hours on me before fading noticeably.

Formula Overview

$29.00/0.35 oz. - $82.86 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to have a "liquid to baked technology" that has "unparalleled pigment payoff" that can be used as a highlighter as well as an eyeshadow or as a blush topper." It's a very pigmented formula with a high-shine, metallic finish that will be most suitable for someone who wants an intense highlighter.

The texture was denser but not dry or difficult to work with, so it seemed to melt onto the skin the more I buffed and blended the highlighter on. They lasted between eight and nine hours on me before fading noticeably.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I don’t have any problems wearing Prismatic Amethyst. Maybe it’s the difference in our undertones? Mine are neutral most of the year, and very slightly warm/yellow in summer. Maybe your cooler, pinker tones are making Amethyst pull cooler on you.

To me, this one looks darker than Amethyst, but I’m thinking the amped up shimmer might counteract that. There’s an Ulta on the way to my son’s apartment. I’ll try to stop by there this weekend and test it out. I’ll let you know how it goes.
