NYX Very Berry Lipstick

The Sultry Season: NYX Very Berry Lipstick

NYX Very Berry Lipstick ($4.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a darkened red-brown with a glossy finish.  It’s opaque, and it has a very creamy texture, so it applies beautifully.  It does fade away within three to four hours, but it’s a lovely color while it lasts.  There’s a slightly synthetic sweet scent in the tube, but I don’t notice it lingering once I’ve applied it.

Is this the right brown for you? Would you wear it?

The Sultry Season is a series of posts featuring deep, rich shades of brown, berry, plum, and wine lipsticks and lipglosses — just right for autumn — that runs through October 2010.

We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! girl, you ROCK this colour! of course, you can pull off almost anything…
great shade, but i’m too sloppy to wear anything this dark. i love the feel of nyx’s lipsticks.

I’ve just got to get some of these NYX lipsticks …. nice coverage and colours for only $4.00. I like this one better than the Chanel Peach. If you didn’t know this was an inexpensive lipstick you wouldn’t be able to tell. Again good colour for you Christine and with a lighter lip gloss such as coral or medium pink atleast on the lower lip, a lot of people could wear this shade.

random Q, but for your eyeliner, is that lined INSIDE or outside the eye? you know what i mean? it looks like it’s ‘tighlined’ (for lack of a better term) but it’s also on the outer skin. it looks great so i’m curious!

I love the NYX Rounds. Great color saturation, great color selection, glides on like a freaking balm, and great price. I have this color myself. Then again, I’m not the type to whine that a color is “too scary”. Nudes and light pinks are not my style so I’m loving these dramatic swatches.

Love this color, too. I’m so happy to have found a beauty blog run by a woman that has similar skin tone, eye color and hair color to me!

But I do have two questions, and I hope I didn’t just skim over the answers; Do you use a lip liner in your lipstick posts, and do you use a brush or apply it straight from the tube? Thanks!
