NYX Stone Cold, Wrath, Mischievous Wicked Lippies Reviews, Photos, Swatches

NYX Wicked Lippies
NYX Wicked Lippies

NYX Stone Cold Wicked Lippie ($6.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a silvery-white with cool undertones and a frosted, metallic finish. It had semi-sheer color payoff, which is a lot less than expected based on the formula description. I would say this is more of a layering shade than one for wear on its own, since it is sheerer. On me, it lasted for three hours. Tom Ford Beauty Moonlight (LE, $49.00) is lighter. MAC Eloquent Air (LE, $16.00) is cooler-toned. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Iced (P, $18.00) is more pigmented. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

NYX Wrath Wicked Lippie ($6.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a coppery brown with warm, reddish undertones and a metallic shimmer-sheen. It had mostly opaque color coverage that went on evenly and smoothly. The consistency was creamy and very emollient, but it lasted surprisingly long at five and a half hours. Kat Von D Gothica (P, $21.00) is lighter, less shimmery. Revlon Sandstorm (LE, $7.99) is lighter, redder. Milani Bronze Beauty (P, $5.49) is lighter. MAC Sheer Seduction (LE, $16.00) is lighter. Maybelline Mochachino (P, $7.49) is lighter. MAC Tabla (P, $16.00) is less shimmery. MAC Subverted (LE, $16.00) is darker, redder. MAC Photo (P, $16.00) is less shimmery. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Authentic (P, $18.00) is lighter. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

NYX Mischievous Wicked Lippie ($6.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a brightened, yellow gold with a metallic sheen and shimmer. It semi-opaque color coverage that covered evenly for the most part. The consistency was very creamy with a lot of slip, but it seems to evaporate/dry down, as it ended up lasting for four and a half hours on me. MAC Playland (LE, $16.00) is lighter. Dolce and Gabbana Topazio (LE, $33.00) is darker. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Triptych (P, $18.00) is brighter, more metallic. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

These are so awesome! can’t wait to see the last three before I decide which I’m going to pick up. I just wish I could get away with wearing these kinds of colors at the office!

Huh…. it’s a shame about Stone Cold… That would’ve been a cool opaque lippie! Idk if it matters much since they’re both affordable, but it looks like Wet n Wild’s Sunset Stripped (I think that’s the name) might be similar to Mischievous!

And, in some cases, more readily available! In order to make a NYX online haul worthwhile, there has to be several items I want, but I can find WnW inseveral places, and one is likely to have what I’m looking for!

I’m quite impressed with this line. These are colours I would NEVER wear myself, but I really appreciate that Nyx offers such an impressive colour range for someone who would like to wear non-conventional lipstick shades.

Wow! Love all three of these! I actually like the sheerness of stone cold – I like those colors in the winter and by letting a little natural lip through they keep from being too icy. I love the face shots of all three on you!

I think these shades are genuinely flattering and my favorite of the collection! The second one is like a throw back to the early 90’s. I swear that was my “go to” color, as a teen!

seriously , you can pull off anything !

i’m loving wrath on you .

wasn’t intrigued by it when they first came out , but i want it now, for sure !

hopefully they’ll be available on ulta.com soon .

I like the look of Stone Cold, but I may have something that works similarly, so I may pass. Meanwhile, the non-logical side of my brain wants Mischievous badly, even though I surely have something close…but I want ALL the gold lipcolors, so…

(WnW Sunset Stripped is pretty nice, I must say, but I need Mischievous, too!)

It’s a matte formula, but I found it comfortable enough, especially for what’s essentially a $2-3 lipstick. I’d wager it outperforms those KvD ones just on the reviews of them I’ve seen.

Only thing about it is, I found it on a Halloweeny themed endcap of regular makeup products in Walgreens, so I don’t know if it’s perm or LE or a store exclusive. I don’t pay much attention to WnW stuff that isn’t eyeshadows, normally.

Toni Avatar

I say yes to Wrath! That is a tame color compared to the others in the line. Has anyone seen these in stores yet?

Mischievous seems to be more opaque than Wet an’ Wild’s Sunset Stripped, which I just picked up the other day.

Wrath and Mischievous are surprisingly wearable! I wouldn’t have guessed they would look so “normal” from the swatches and product photos.

Hm… I really like Stone Cold on you, LOL! 😀 I see what you mean about the pigmentation issue, but I wonder how it would turn out on my zombie lips…

I would love to get a gold lipstick, actually. I kind of want Triptych, but it is *very* yellow as golds go… maybe Mischievous is a place to start… but then Triptych *is* more faithful to actual gold leaf…

Oh, the trials we face in life… 😉
