NYX Stone Cold, Wrath, Mischievous Wicked Lippies Reviews, Photos, Swatches
NYX Wicked Lippies
NYX Stone Cold Wicked Lippie ($6.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a silvery-white with cool undertones and a frosted, metallic finish. It had semi-sheer color payoff, which is a lot less than expected based on the formula description. I would say this is more of a layering shade than one for wear on its own, since it is sheerer. On me, it lasted for three hours. Tom Ford Beauty Moonlight (LE, $49.00) is lighter. MAC Eloquent Air (LE, $16.00) is cooler-toned. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Iced (P, $18.00) is more pigmented. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
NYX Wrath Wicked Lippie ($6.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a coppery brown with warm, reddish undertones and a metallic shimmer-sheen. It had mostly opaque color coverage that went on evenly and smoothly. The consistency was creamy and very emollient, but it lasted surprisingly long at five and a half hours. Kat Von D Gothica (P, $21.00) is lighter, less shimmery. Revlon Sandstorm (LE, $7.99) is lighter, redder. Milani Bronze Beauty (P, $5.49) is lighter. MAC Sheer Seduction (LE, $16.00) is lighter. Maybelline Mochachino (P, $7.49) is lighter. MAC Tabla (P, $16.00) is less shimmery. MAC Subverted (LE, $16.00) is darker, redder. MAC Photo (P, $16.00) is less shimmery. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Authentic (P, $18.00) is lighter. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
NYX Mischievous Wicked Lippie ($6.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a brightened, yellow gold with a metallic sheen and shimmer. It semi-opaque color coverage that covered evenly for the most part. The consistency was very creamy with a lot of slip, but it seems to evaporate/dry down, as it ended up lasting for four and a half hours on me. MAC Playland (LE, $16.00) is lighter. Dolce and Gabbana Topazio (LE, $33.00) is darker. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Triptych (P, $18.00) is brighter, more metallic. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

These are so awesome! can’t wait to see the last three before I decide which I’m going to pick up. I just wish I could get away with wearing these kinds of colors at the office!
If only all offices allowed such bold colors 😉
Huh…. it’s a shame about Stone Cold… That would’ve been a cool opaque lippie! Idk if it matters much since they’re both affordable, but it looks like Wet n Wild’s Sunset Stripped (I think that’s the name) might be similar to Mischievous!
A dupe is a dupe! There are always reasons to shop one brand over another, and WNW is still cheaper 🙂
And, in some cases, more readily available! In order to make a NYX online haul worthwhile, there has to be several items I want, but I can find WnW inseveral places, and one is likely to have what I’m looking for!
Wrath turned out surprisingly well!
It did!
I’m quite impressed with this line. These are colours I would NEVER wear myself, but I really appreciate that Nyx offers such an impressive colour range for someone who would like to wear non-conventional lipstick shades.
Me too! I like that you can get some decent performing, unconventional colors without breaking the bank!
I’m pleasantly surprised at how wearable all of these shades are!
🙂 I like that there are at least a few shades in the range that are closer to mainstream colors, just a little tweaked!
They’re all cool! Wrath looks great. If I only get one from the whole line it’d be Wrath. Are these online only?
I’m not sure if/when they’ll be at stores, but I know they are permanent at the very least.
Wrath is the lipstick I’ve wanted since these first came out, so I’m glad to see it’s a good one!
Nice!
Wow! Love all three of these! I actually like the sheerness of stone cold – I like those colors in the winter and by letting a little natural lip through they keep from being too icy. I love the face shots of all three on you!
I think the sheerness totally can work (for the better) on it!
I’m falling in love with Wrath. It’s making me want very much to break my promise to my folks about not buying any more lipsticks until 2015. And I did the pinky promise with my grandmother too. smh!
Awwwww!! These are permanent at least 🙂
Convince a friend to buy you one for the Holidays, LOL!
Wrath. Freakin. Awesome!!
Agreed!
I think these shades are genuinely flattering and my favorite of the collection! The second one is like a throw back to the early 90’s. I swear that was my “go to” color, as a teen!
Maybe you need Wrath for nostalgia! 😀
LOLing over the fact that Wrath performs so much better than Gothica! I might get both that and Mischievous.
SOOOOO much better!
Gorgeous! I’m genuinely surprised at how pretty these are on (and on you). I just might…
You should 😉
Oooh, I love Wicked and Mischievous!
Do you think you’ll try either?
Wrath and Mischievous are stunning! Perfect fall colors! Stone Cold is really sheer but I think it’ll look really cool layered with other lippies. It does look a lot better than I was expecting though
It should be fun to layer with!
Oi..I love stone cold!
Would be nice for mixing, too, I think.
I like all of these! Especially Stone Cold. Sometimes you just want a silver frost over your natural lip tone.
Yay!!
Wrath looks awesome! And you rock it, too!
Aw, thanks!
seriously , you can pull off anything !
i’m loving wrath on you .
wasn’t intrigued by it when they first came out , but i want it now, for sure !
hopefully they’ll be available on ulta.com soon .
Thanks, Nicole! 🙂
I like the look of Stone Cold, but I may have something that works similarly, so I may pass. Meanwhile, the non-logical side of my brain wants Mischievous badly, even though I surely have something close…but I want ALL the gold lipcolors, so…
(WnW Sunset Stripped is pretty nice, I must say, but I need Mischievous, too!)
Now I am very curious about the Wet ‘n’ Wild shade…
It’s a matte formula, but I found it comfortable enough, especially for what’s essentially a $2-3 lipstick. I’d wager it outperforms those KvD ones just on the reviews of them I’ve seen.
Only thing about it is, I found it on a Halloweeny themed endcap of regular makeup products in Walgreens, so I don’t know if it’s perm or LE or a store exclusive. I don’t pay much attention to WnW stuff that isn’t eyeshadows, normally.
Mischievous and Wrath are such beautiful shades, I wish I could pull them off. Wrath looks great on you, tho.
I bet you could 😉
I think Stone Cold looks pretty on you. That frosty white reminds me of winter holidays.
Thanks, Katherine!
wrath is so beautiful, I just can’t stop staring at it
It is lovely!
While it’s disappointing that Stone Cold is sheer, it’s also gorgeous on you. Very fairy!
Thank you, Cassie!
I say yes to Wrath! That is a tame color compared to the others in the line. Has anyone seen these in stores yet?
Mischievous seems to be more opaque than Wet an’ Wild’s Sunset Stripped, which I just picked up the other day.
I hope they roll out to stores soon!
Love these colors! They look great on you too!
Thank you!
Surprisingly, these all look great on you! Alright! 😀
Thanks, Lotus! xoxo
Stone Cold looks very pretty to me, I like it a lot- to me, the sheerness makes it more wearable. I might have to check that one out!
I totally see what you mean about the sheerness 🙂
I want them all. I quite like that Cold Stone is so sheer, It will look fantastick for frosty makeups in the winter. Or if I want to keep cool in the summer 🙂
Really lovely colours in this range. Well done NYX.
They all suite you so well Christine.
Aww, thank you Helene! 🙂
Wrath and Mischievous are surprisingly wearable! I wouldn’t have guessed they would look so “normal” from the swatches and product photos.
Wonders never cease 😀
Hm… I really like Stone Cold on you, LOL! 😀 I see what you mean about the pigmentation issue, but I wonder how it would turn out on my zombie lips…
I would love to get a gold lipstick, actually. I kind of want Triptych, but it is *very* yellow as golds go… maybe Mischievous is a place to start… but then Triptych *is* more faithful to actual gold leaf…
Oh, the trials we face in life… 😉
It’s looking a little bit ’90s up in this post. I think I had a few metallics from WnW and Black Radiance similar to these in 1998.
The 90s are back 😉
