NARS Oasis Lipgloss Review, Photos, Swatches
NARS Oasis Lipgloss
NARS Oasis Lipgloss
NARS Oasis Lipgloss ($24.00 for 0.28 oz.) is described as a “sparkling pink champagne.” Is this really what one thinks of with the description of “pink champagne”? Am I alone when I look at the swatch and read the description and feel like it’s not really fitting? It’s a semi-sheer plummy pink with flecks of gold shimmer and a high-gloss shine. This shade was originally part of a Sephora-exclusive set of blush-inspired glosses and has made a reappearance in the fall collection.
NARS Lipglosses are supposed to be comfortable, glossy, and non-sticky. Â I don’t find these completely non-sticky; I wouldn’t go out of my way and say they’re sticky, but there is a little tackiness there. Â They are comfortable to wear, and the texture spreads evenly across the lips. Â Though in the past, these glosses have smelled plastic-like, I didn’t notice any scent or taste with Oasis. Â I only achieved three hours of wear with this shade.

Reminds me of YSL’s Golden Berry. GB has more glitter in though, and is a touch warmer.
Classy look! Christine I was wondering, when you said there was an plastic smell to the lip glosses, did you notice the smell immediately, or did you notice the smell after it was a bit older (1 month with a couple of uses).
I have a NARS gloss that I used to really love until I noticed a smell about a month later that was pretty plastic like. I don’t know if it had that smell initially, or if it was sign that the gloss didn’t react well to being used =/
Whenever I first opened the gloss is when I note the scent – it might not be the same day I receive it, so it could end up being a month later, but it’s always something I make note of from first use.
Hmm! Alright, so I’m not usually a fan of glitter in lipglosses – but this is quite cute! I still remember being SO surprised at how amazing Oasis (erm, as in the blush) looked swatched when you reviewed it last year; it looks kinda unremarkable in the pan, but applied, well
/swoon
The color is gorgeous but I don’t like the glitter in it!
there’s something abt nars lip colors…they’re always so pretty! and yet i find, across the board, that nars products (especially lip colors and the multiples) don’t wear nearly as long through the day as mac products. but the colors are soooo pretty…argh!
Very pretty! This looks great on you! I was a little perplexed by the description as well. It is totally not my idea of a pink champagne 🙂 I think they did a nice job of matching it up with the Oasis blush shade. 🙂
Very pretty 🙂 I like the gold shimmer, Prevents it from looking like “just another lipgloss” 🙂
SO PRETTY!
I have Oasis and I agree that it’s not a sparkling pink champagne. It’s more of a raspberry, but it’s lovely. I like it a lot.
glad to read that these smell better!
It’s a lot sheerer than I expected, which is a good thing since I can’t pull off dark colours without looking goth. I’ll have to check Oasis out in Sephora, it’s really pretty. It looks amazing on you, Christine!
looks so pretty on you!
I really love this color! I’m going to have to check it out this week. I was pleasantly surprised with the swatch, as compared to what it looks like in the tube.
Wow, i think that’s a perfect gloss 4 me! But i’m so sad, cuz i can’t find NARS products in my country =(
Hi Christine,
can you please tell me what eyeshadow and blush you are wearing… you look gorgeous! Thank you!
That picture is GORG!
Christine this is a random question but I really need ur help on this. Is the Mac pro blush in Taupe similar to the shape powder in Sculpt? I Just want to kno if the colors r similar or completely different hues. Plz reply 🙂
I don’t think I have Taupe!
I quit buying NARS lipglosses because after awhile they start to leak for some reasoning. All of mine have and so have my sisters. I’d rather spend the money on Dior Addict Ultra Glosses
I like this lighting on your pictures, looks nice ^____^ or location, idk your picture looks different~~
Everything is the same 🙂
I really like this! The plum is gorgeous!
I bought Oasis blush recently which has the same shade description and it definitely doesn ‘t fit ! Oasis leans really plum on me at least , I ‘m actually waiting until fall to wear it because it just looks out of place .
It looks nice – I like the shimmer.
This looks kind of similar to Kiehl’s Pink Rider lip gloss, which I love–may have to check this gloss out!
Love the gloss – do you find that it works well with NARS Oasis blush? Are they as complementary as I imagine they’re designed to be?
They do work, since the gloss is sheer!
I agree. It’s definitely more of a berry-plum color. I love it though. It’s like a sheer, sparkly version of Nars’ Strawberry Fields gloss from last fall.Very pretty.
Purdy!
Cute! That looks like a great everyday color. It really makes you look fresh.
This is the best pic you’ve ever posted. The makeup is completely flattering to you.
I agree, this is such a pretty picture of you, Christine!
This is cute! I love it on you, Christine!
For one thing about the shade’s name… I had a pair of glasses that were this type of pink and there were some ppl called them ‘Pink Champagne’ either. I don’t know why.
I tend to like NARS lipglosses. They don’t feel hydrating when apply, but amazingly keep my lips from drying! After several uses comparing to other glosses in my stash, this is what I found. If they don’t sometime smell plasticly I would LOVE it!
Can anyone recommend a lipgloss that looks like this only without the glitter/shimmer in it? It can more pigmented too!
I’m so looking forward to this!
