NARS Floralies Satin Lip Pencil Review, Photos, Swatches

NARS Floralies Satin Lip Pencil ($25.00 for 0.07 oz.) is described as “light apricot.” It’s a peachy-brown with strong warm, orange undertones and a satin finish. MAC Peachstock is more beige. MAC Sheer Mandarin is more orange and darker. Cle de Peau Just Joey is darker and browner.

The color payoff was amazing! It applied completely opaque, and it took very little product to achieve full color coverage. The consistency is lightly creamy, so the pencil glided over the lips with ease and never tugged or pulled. It was comfortable to wear without clinging, but the texture is still lightweight and thin, so it doesn’t slide around the lips either. Floralies wore just over four hours on me, which is about average and not what I’d describe as a long-wearing formula (which without a specific time, I look for six to eight hours). It was somewhat moisturizing while I wore it, though, and it is one of the more hydrating shades from the formula that I’ve tested.

It looks really nude and pale.
Can you compare it to MAC Salute lipstick?
And do you think Floralies is good for smokey eyes or just natural eye makeup?

I’ve been looking for a lighter orange/peachy color and I really like this. I just wish it wasn’t in pencil form because of the waste when sharpening. Gah. In some pictures I’ve seen MAC’s Sheer Mandarin looks like a very yellow-leaning orange. What do you think, Christine? Is Floralies more wearable?
