NARS Fireclay Mosaic Glow Blush Review & Swatches
Fireclay
NARS Fireclay Mosaic Glow Blush ($42.00 for 0.40 oz.) is a medium-dark, pink-coral with warm undertones and a golden sheen. It had opaque pigmentation with a smooth, firmer consistency that was finely-milled but worked best with a moderately dense brush–firm enough that a feathery fan brush would be a poor tool to pick up product but not so firm that it was difficult to blend out. It had a lovely luminous finish that I think is quite underrated in the world of blush; noticeable but not metallic, so there was no fear of it emphasizing my skin’s natural texture. It wore well for eight hours before fading slightly on my skin.
The “downside” to the product is that the brand says the shades can be used individually or together, but the size of the “highlighter” and the “bronzer” shades is so narrow that even small eye brushes would be cutting it close.

Love it lots, but I’m going to leave it. Only because I have Adrenaline in my Nars Hot Tryst palette and it has become one of my most used and most flattering blushes in my arsenal! Wouldn’t mind having a giant pan of Adrenaline, tbh. ?
Good luck tomorrow.
Thank you so much, KJH. I’ve been quite the nervous wreck these past few days, tbh.
If you just mix two of the three shades together, does that affect the look of it much?
Just a bit since the majority of the compact is the pink blush!
I’m such a sucker for coral blushes. This one is really beautiful, but it definitely looks like it needs to be swirled together.
“Woah” – first thought after seeing an image of this.
Followed by “damnit, I’ll never use this, but it sure is pretty.”
This is a lovely blush. Of course I like the embossing. I got up this morning and saw the newest addition to the Sisley Orchide Blush and almost broke my no/low buy before even checking any reviews. As I have said before, I am a a sucker for the embossing and while not as extravagant an emboss, this is still quite pretty. I also really like that it has a slight sheen to it. I like a little sheen on my skin!
I like this kind of blush where you can swirl the shades together, although this particular one is too bright for me. I hope they bring out a peachy one.
Gorgeous eye look Christine.
do we feel these are just three existing shades- as NARS often does?
They aren’t, individually, that unique, but I don’t think they are specifically three existing shades.
I love coral blushes and I love Nars blushes, so….this will be mine 🙂
Yeah, no one’s using those highlighter and bronzer shades individually except with an eyeshadow brush. On the upside, they both look like they’d make nice eyeshadows, and the overall look with all three together for the cheek is really nice. I get that these split-color products are visually appealing, but I think the vast majority are only usable mixed (accidentally or otherwise) — there are exceptions, but it’s not *really* like you’re getting multiple separate products (unless, again, you’re willing to use some on your eyes)..
I want to add that I have no problem with companies doing these color-block types of presentations — they’re attractive! — I just (in general) don’t think they should market them as multiple colors for different uses unless they’re very careful about making sure that they can be picked up individually without a lot of frustration.
Yeah, I don’t know why they don’t just… embrace that it has a design feature to it but the point is to use it together?!
