NARS Biscayne Park Satin Lip Pencil
NARS Biscayne Park Satin Lip Pencil ($25.00 for 0.07 oz.) is described as a “pink guava.” It’s a warm, light-medium peach with brown and pink. It looks lighter applied to lips than it does just swatched on the skin–I triple-checked this bad boy, because it wasn’t computing for me! MAC Cozy Up is more orange. MAC Posh Tone is darker. MAC Delectable is also darker. MAC Peachstock is lighter, more beige. MAC Gotta Dash! is pinker. Bobbi Brown Bare Pink is more beige.
It’s a warmer take on the nude lip, and it’s not too light/pale, so it’s more versatile and will be less stark across skin tones. (Nude, of course, often depends on your skin tone.) Biscayne Park had very nearly opaque color coverage. I noticed the finish and texture of this were creamier than other shades I’ve so far–it ended up having a stronger sheen but still within range of what I’d expect a satin finish to have. It applied evenly and smoothly, and I didn’t have any of the color settle into lip lines over time. This shade lasted four and a half hours on me, which is a little better than the average lipstick but not long-wearing. Again, not drying and only mildly moisturizing, so this area continues to be one thing NARS didn’t nail in the formula.

This one is gorgeous as well… Ugh I’m feeling compelled to find a job out of cosmetic lust alone.
Hm, I don’t think it would work on my lips. It wouldn’t look nude at all.
this color look so great on you, its a perfect pinky nude
I bought this color a couple of days ago and really like it, it works nicely with my lighter skin tone. Figured I could mix it with the Yu or the Luxembourgh to tone them down.
Love this one! It’s a bit similar to Lodhi but more subtle and wearable, I think!
Hi Christine,
What foundation/powder combo are you wearing here? Your skin looks amazing!
Thank you, Lorie
Giorgio Armani Maestro foundation! No powder!
Thanks for the reply Christine- How does this foundation compare to your beloved Guerlain Parure Gold? Is it on par? I have tried samples of the Guerlain Parure Gold and for some reason the #02 is too light and the #03 pulls pink on me. The Lingerie de Peau in #02 is working out a little better, but it doesn’t have the same finish since it’s more sheer.
The texture feels really different to me. Parure Gold also has a lot more coverage, so it depends on what you’re looking for. Giorgio Armani feels heavy with silicones.
Thanks so much Christine for your reply. I can’t stand the feel of silicones so that nixes the Armani foundation for me. I really do love the feel, texture and ease of blending with the Guerlain Parure Gold and the Lingerie de Peau. Hopefully I will be able to make one of the colors work! You’re awesome by the way. I do not go a day without checking your blog. =)
If I have very light asian skin, like lighter than nc15, do you think this will come across to weird on my skin tone?
I think it could work!
Bad boy? LOL
Christine, would these satin lip pencils be available at Sephora?
As far as I know, NARS and Nordstrom – the press release only listed NARS, but the email I received said NARS and Nordstrom were launching on March 7th.
I can’t get over how beautiful this is on you! Gorgeous!
Such a pretty colour!! Shame it will totally wash me out… :/
This looks lovely on you, but I know it would BOMB on me! Too peach! I need more pink in my lipcolours.
Oh, I am so in love! I need this one!
