NARS Biscayne Park Satin Lip Pencil ($25.00 for 0.07 oz.) is described as a “pink guava.” It’s a warm, light-medium peach with brown and pink. It looks lighter applied to lips than it does just swatched on the skin–I triple-checked this bad boy, because it wasn’t computing for me! MAC Cozy Up is more orange. MAC Posh Tone is darker. MAC Delectable is also darker. MAC Peachstock is lighter, more beige. MAC Gotta Dash! is pinker. Bobbi Brown Bare Pink is more beige.

It’s a warmer take on the nude lip, and it’s not too light/pale, so it’s more versatile and will be less stark across skin tones. (Nude, of course, often depends on your skin tone.) Biscayne Park had very nearly opaque color coverage. I noticed the finish and texture of this were creamier than other shades I’ve so far–it ended up having a stronger sheen but still within range of what I’d expect a satin finish to have. It applied evenly and smoothly, and I didn’t have any of the color settle into lip lines over time. This shade lasted four and a half hours on me, which is a little better than the average lipstick but not long-wearing. Again, not drying and only mildly moisturizing, so this area continues to be one thing NARS didn’t nail in the formula.

I bought this color a couple of days ago and really like it, it works nicely with my lighter skin tone. Figured I could mix it with the Yu or the Luxembourgh to tone them down.

Thanks for the reply Christine- How does this foundation compare to your beloved Guerlain Parure Gold? Is it on par? I have tried samples of the Guerlain Parure Gold and for some reason the #02 is too light and the #03 pulls pink on me. The Lingerie de Peau in #02 is working out a little better, but it doesn’t have the same finish since it’s more sheer.

Thanks so much Christine for your reply. I can’t stand the feel of silicones so that nixes the Armani foundation for me. I really do love the feel, texture and ease of blending with the Guerlain Parure Gold and the Lingerie de Peau. Hopefully I will be able to make one of the colors work! You’re awesome by the way. I do not go a day without checking your blog. =)
