NARS 413 BLKR Blush Review, Photos, Swatches

NARS 413 BLKR Blush

NARS 413 BLKR Blush ($30.00 for 0.16 oz.) is described as “rosebud.” It’s a medium-dark, slightly muted, rosy pink with cool undertones and a matte finish. Milani Tea Rose (08) (LE, $7.99) is quite a bit lighter. Milani Bella Rosa (11) (P, $7.99) is a little brighter. Kevyn Aucoin Neolita (P, $37.00) is darker, warmer, more shimmery. Bobbi Brown Berry (LE, $26.00) is darker. NARS Mata Hari (P, $29.00) is lighter. MAC Mocha (P, $21.00) is slightly warmer. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

It was a richly pigmented blush that applied with true-to-pan color. Deeper skin tones will have no trouble getting this to show up on their skin tone, while fairer skin tones will have to use a lighter hand when building up the color, it doesn’t feel “too pigmented” where the merest brush of your bristles is product overload! The texture was soft, finely-milled, and silky against the skin, which made it easier to achieve smoother, even color during application. When I applied the blush, it was fairly easy to blend out the edges. It wore well for eight and a half hours on me, which is a bit longer than average.

Christine, do you know if, at some point, this will be available at Sephora? I’m not sure if Nars ships to Canada but also, having seen how some of your products have arrived in past (all smashed), I’d just love to be able to pick this up “in store”.

According to NARS, the 413 BLKR products seem to be exclusive to their website! I think they are also available at boutiques.

Note: the products I receive are coming from NARS’ corporate office via their PR department, so it’s not connected to how it is shipped if you were a customer of their e-commerce site (I think I have only ordered a handful of times from NARS’ website directly but don’t remember any issues). Sometimes products are loose (not in boxes), so they can knock against each other, which can sometimes cause damage.

How true! I’ve been just fiddling around with some blush & bronzer shades I never thought would work for me, and alone they don’t, but for some reason they do together.

Wendy, thanks for the tip! I’m even paler (about NC15), so I will try this. Usually I just try to mute blush with more powder, but that doesn’t always work so well!

That is soooo pretty – but I don’t need another blush. I feel like I already have something similar. Does anyone have Milani Mineral Blush in Mai Tai – I feel that they are similar – but Mai Tai is more red/coral – but similar enough. Sigh – at least it’s permanent.

I love the BLKR line (the lip colors especially are so cool). If I didn’t have Mata Hari, this would be screaming my name. Question, Christine, how different do you think they’ll wear on fairest porcelain with neutral undertones (from each other, I mean. Do you think they are different enough on skin to merit owning both)? This is so beautiful and I don’t want to miss out, but if it’s too similar to Mata Hari on I can safely pass.

(Note: Of course I’ll swatch it in person when I can, but oh the lust a beautiful NARS blush instills…)

Ooooh that’s so exciting to hear! That’s exactly what I was hoping for, actually. Now I can really envision the spot it would fill in my collection and cannot wait to play with it. So excited for my appointment with them in May :D! Thanks for the response, darling. <3 Beautiful job showing the collection so far.

I shall! I caved and bought it since I recently returned the LE Sex Fantasy. Just organized my blush drawer yesterday so I must reserve a spot in between Mata Hari and Deep Throat 😉

Very lovely. 🙂 I’m glad they released shades that can be worn across the spectrum for the 413BLKR series – part of why I like NARS so much as a brand!

Looks fabulous on you! I thought this would be a fall/winter blush, but it seems to be an all year round type of color. I was wondering, how this would compare to NARS Dolce Vita blush?

Hi Cristine, I adore Nars blushes and already have quite a collection. Two of the ones I own are Amour and Outlaw. Would 413 blkr be too similar? What would be the differences? Thanks.
Also, wanted to thank you for your reviews as they have often helped me decide on my beauty purchases.

Do you think this blush would work on very pale, very yellow skin tones? I love these types of colors but I’m always worried about them turning orangey on my skin.
