Formula Overview
$7.00/0.16 oz. - $43.75 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to work on "body, face, cheek, eye, and lips" with "bold and vibrant color" that is long-wearing and goes on evenly and flawlessly. If you're looking to use this formula on the eyes as eyeliner or eyeshadow, you'll probably be quite happy with the end results and longevity. If you're hoping to use these on the lips, then I think they're a lot less impressive as they tended to look unflattering by emphasizing lip texture/imperfections and were clingy to wear.
The texture was smooth, fluid, and thin without being too runny, which made it easy to apply from the tube and then to use a fluffy, synthetic brush to diffuse and blend out. I also was able to use my fingertip in most instances, though I had to take care to work pretty quickly as the formula dried down fast and once set, it did not move well.
The shimmery shades were more medium coverage, sometimes buildable but typically more likely to sheer out in practice and require layering to be more pigmented. They had a lot of fine sparkle that caught the light well, so I could see them working well as an all-over lid color. As cheek product, these could be used more as a highlighter than a genuine blush, but you'll need to work as fast as possible to diffuse the edges and sheer out evenly. As a lip product, it was somewhat uncomfortable to wear, felt clingy, and had a tendency to produce a lot of sparkly migration over the three to four hours it lasted for.
The matte shades had higher coverage, often opaque, that applied well to the eyes and poorly to the lips. Some shades worked better on cheeks than others, but they had to be applied and blended out very, very quickly as the working time about 10 seconds at best. The issue I had with the formula on my lips was they often settled into my lip lines during dry down and/or clung to texture or other imperfections, so it looked rougher, somewhat uneven, and/or "cracked" when I smiled.
The formula dried down fairly quickly and was long-wearing once set. As a lip product, they lasted three to six hours but were drying over time and were often unflattering with respect to finish/texture and shimmery shades had migration over time. As an eye product, they lasted nine hours without creasing or fallout. As a cheek product, they lasted around nine hours before fading a bit.

Bring It On is such a beautiful shade that tends to be difficult to get “right” in color cosmetics, yet here is one that I really love! Could be perfect in a graphic eyeliner look against a more simple orange and yellow or yellow-gold background eye look.
I imagine it would be stunning with your eye color, Nancy.
I rarely use liners because of my overly hooded lids and so wouldn’t even want to try with one that dried down so quickly. Can’t see these as blushes or lipsticks so these are an easy pass for me.
Glad you’re back and hope you and your daughter are doing well.
Thank you so much, kjh. I am so happy to see you still here on the blog. I have been well overall. Had some issues both health and mental health but feel like I am coming out the other end. Because I have been feeling so good lately, I am dreading the onset of winter. I am increasing my Vit. D intake this year in hopes of maintaining a better mood.
My daughter is doing well also. She is living full time in Seattle now and loving it. She misses me and worries about me so she wants me to sell my house and move over there. She will never live back in Montana so keeping my land and house for her is rather silly, even if I am able to maintain it as I age. It doesn’t make sense to give up my house payment which is literally one quarter of her apartment cost and then have to get rid of everything to boot! When my health requires it or after my mother passes away, I may consider it. My mom has had some health issues also but is doing okay right now. She will be 87 this year. She has such longevity in her family. Of the 6 children, one passed at 80 but all the others were either closer to 90 or well over 90. My grandmother on that side lived to be 95 and likely would have lived longer had the Doctor not told her that she had such a strong heart that she would likely live well over 100. She told him she didn’t want to live to be over 100 and then went home and basically starved herself to death. She still lived alone, put a garden in every year, canned, made quilts for the church to raffle and generally did what she wanted to. My mom is the youngest of the children and had she not had a stroke, I think she would outlive them all. She still might as she has made a pretty remarkable recovery.
Hope you have been well?
These liquid pigments are working best as an eyeliner and the vibrant shades would look great in combination with other colours from your stash.
Hi Christine
Just letting you know I can’t see any posts between July 14 and August 5… it may be my cache but just in case it’s a site issue and you’d like to know.
Thank you, Blanca! I didn’t know, and it’s definitely an error for users who aren’t logged in (who are served cached pages) – the posts exist and are accessible, but they do not show up if you go to the pages on the homepage (like 2, 3, etc.). Hopefully we can get that fixed shortly!
