Sunset Passione

Milani Sunset Passione Baked Blush ($8.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium-dark, rosy copper with warm undertones and a satin finish. It had just a hint of sheen when applied and blended out on my skin, but it didn’t read overtly shimmery. It had good pigmentation that was buildable to full coverage with less than half of a layer more. The texture felt smooth to the touch, a smidgen powdery, but it didn’t have too much product that kicked up in the pan when used. The powder applied evenly to bare skin and blended out effortlessly. It wore well for seven and a half hours on me before fading noticeably.

Formula Overview

$8.00/0.12 oz. - $66.67 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to be "richly pigmented and highly buildable" (which is confusing) that is available in a mix of "matte and shimmery shades." Most shades have medium to opaque coverage, can be built up usually (or sheered/blended out if desired), and have a soft, smooth texture that can run slightly powdery. The majority of shades I've tried apply evenly, blend out nicely, and last between seven and eight hours on me.

Wonderful color! I don’t think I have anything like it, but even for the price, I’m not convinced I need another blush. Still … very satisfying to gaze upon.

I think this shade would be a lovely bronzer on my daughter’s skin tone with the slight ruddiness of it. I will mention it to her when I speak with her next. She has decided to stay in the Glacier National Park area after her contract ends and so has rented an apartment there. It will be her first time living on her own and while I am super excited for her and that is what we raise our children to do, I am feeling a bit depressed about it, though. Feels like the end of chapter and new beginnings are always hard. She is only going to be 3 hours away so not sure why I am feeling this way. I am having a pity party over here, LOL!

IKR?! My older son is just a couple towns over, but likes the new area so much better he’s visiting here less often. My younger son is working 30+ hours a week, but still lives at home. I’m feeling the same way, even though I really still see them a lot! Not quite empty nest, but definitely a strange transition for me.

Hi Rachel ! I was really surprised by feeling this way. I have been encouraging her to try to get out on her own and start her life and I sincerely meant that but it has been a rockier transition than I thought it would be. Of course, I haven’t said anything to her. It is important that she make this giant step but like I said above, I am throwing myself a little pity party. Her Dad called me, he is living in Georgia now, and asked me if I wanted him to come up and stay with me. Uh, no!
I know when my parents took me to the airport to fly off to college my mom cried all the way to the airport and through the terminal and back in those days they could go right up to the gate with you. She looked so miserable and unhappy that I almost didn’t want to go away to school. I haven’t faced that yet as my daughter went to college 3 hours away and between her coming home and my going to visit there, we never went more than a week without seeing each other. Then she moved home for the past two years and now she is only 3 hours away so I just have to buck up!!

Yes, at least 3 hours away isn’t so bad. I guess that was nice of her dad to offer to keep you company…but um…weird, too. lol

With my kids having special needs, I’m so used to them needing a ton of support. It seems weird to no longer have to go to IEP meetings, constant doctor and counseling sessions, school functions, etc. I’m really noticing my lack of a social life now! Eeeek!

I love these Milani blushes, they are pretty close to faultless in my opinion – they just work really well for me. I think I have all of them…

The only thing I don’t like is the bulky packaging.

For some reason that clear plastic part of the case always breaks for me. All of my baked Milani blushes and the luminous bronzer are broken and itโ€™s really annoying.
