The Baked Blush formula is supposed to be “buildable from sheer to vibrant” paired with a “silky” texture. Luminoso has a soft, smooth texture that is a little powdery/dusty to work with, but it doesn’t appear dry or powdery once blended and buffed into the skin. The more it is blended into the skin, the more luminous the finish becomes without looking overly shimmered or frosted. It was buildable from medium coverage to mostly opaque coverage, and it was pretty easy to achieve sheer coverage with a lighter hand. On me, the blush started to fade noticeably after seven and a half hours of wear.

Luminoso is my go-to! It’s cheap and the color looks really nice on my pale skin (and I’m willing to bet it looks great on EVERY skin tone!). It definitely isn’t high-end quality (and you’re right that it does fade after a long work day if no setting spray is used), but for the price it performs much better than expected!
Happy to hear you enjoy this one, Elyse! 🙂
I think the concept of “universally flattering” is a myth. This color is too warm to be flattering on me, for example.
I can’t wear this color either but it’s very pretty.
You’re probably right! I’m too blinded by my love of the color peach in general, I suppose!
Cult favorite!!!
So I have heard!
The blush’s peachiness works really well with the blue in your eye makeup. I also agree that it looks much less powdery once blended.
Thanks, Chris!
Yeah, I can see that it’s a bit powdery in the swatches, but on your cheeks it looks lovely. What a popping eye look by the way!
Thank you!
Oooooo I was waiting for this review because it’s the most #1 selling blush on amazon.co.uk. I’m glad it got a decent score…and that it’s a dupe for nude pop…
Awesome!
Colorful! I love Chanel Espiegle because it is subtle but builds so well! This looks too neon for me. Very pretty for so many who swear by this blush. I may try it one day.
I don’t think it’ll go neon – if anything, it darkens!
I bought this, and it’s a nice blush. It looks beautiful on everyone else, but I don’t think it does much for my pale skin. On it’s own, it’s just too subtle. I have to wear it over another, more pigmented blush.
Oh, that is too bad, Rachel!
That’s OK. It works when put over a matte blush to give some luminosity.
I feel like this blush makes my cheeks look dirty. Everyone on YouTube loves it. Doesn’t work for me.
Bummer!
Yes! So dirty!! It’s awful. Probably my LEAST favorite blush ever, so I’m really confused!! Maybe we have a bad batch, Staci??
Oh very pretty! I like how this is a dupe for blushes that cost 3-9x more
It is pretty!
If you haven’t tried Berry Amore from this same line, it’s one of my favorites! Thanks for the budget review 🙂
Wowzers! This is a beauty at an excellent price! I have always heard wonderful things about Milani blushes, but haven’t tried any out yet. Idk why, either?
I like quite a few of them! They’re worth checking out if you can!
This blush looks amazing on your Christine!
Thank you, Deborah!
Such a pretty blush. Might be a bit on the warm side for me, but nothing I need to thing about as Milani isn’t available here. I do wish it was, though.
Aw! I wish Milani was more global.
Love this blush and love your eye makeup to go this. Simply stunning 🙂
Thanks, Samantha!
Pretty but I already own Clinique Nude Pop. Similar colors without the problems.
Perfect!
Love the pairing of the peach and blue – just gorgeous colours on you and I love Milani’s blushes.
Thanks so much, Genevieve!
This is one of my favorite blushes! I thought it would be somewhat too light for me, but it actually works. A total blind purchase, but one that worked out well. 🙂
So glad it worked out for you, Aj!
I’m starting to think I got a bad batch. I love the color but I hate this blush. It’s disco-ball glittery and only lasts a few hours. I’m talking Twilight-level of glitter in mine.
Interesting! Mine is relatively newer, I think, in terms of when I bought it. I could not tell you when, though, because it’s definitely not THAT new – maybe within the last two years!
I had heard it was reformulated in 2014. I can’t find any hard information on it, I’m trying! But it seems like it was between March and September of 2014. I know I bought mine around last August. I’m kind of interested to know if yours is from stock made before it was reformulated now, or if I have a bad batch. Luckily at this price point I’ll go grab another one to compare to my own.
What did you think of the funny little brush they include? 🙂 I’m trying to figure out something useful that would fit in that compartment!
I put a depotted Mac blush in mine ?
Love Milani! Wish I had a little easier access to the brand though, the few places that have them here usually don’t have many products and don’t restock frequently.
They can be very hard to find!
I loved the texture, blendability, and wear time of this blush, but sadly, it turned pretty red on me. I have rosacea so I have to stay away from blushes that are red or pink based. Peach colored blushes usually work well for me, but like I said, this one turned red on me for some reason. I mean this as a compliment: your makeup looks 80’s inspired, love it!!!
Red! Wow! I am surprised to hear it 🙁 What a bummer!
I have this! I think it’s pretty but I personally don’t understand why it’s a cult favorite. It’s so powdery, it kicks up a ton every time I use it, and it isn’t that pigmented I find. It looks super pigmented on you though Christine!
It is actually supposed to be a buildable product! 🙂
I LOVE the look of Luminoso, but i usually don’t find that it shows up well on me, which is odd because my skin is pretty light. I often use it as a blush topper over other similar blushes to give them some pretty sheen, but don’t usually wear it on its own. It seems like I need to really pack it on to wear alone.
I wonder if it’s too close to your skin tone, maybe? It seems to darken a little bit on me as some more matte/powder blushes do, though.
This is a great drugstore blush!
It is!
I really like this blush! I need to pull it out of my stash and wear it.
You do!
Very nice on you. Might be a bit too orange on me but at least I wouldn’t be out a lot of money if I tried it.
It might just have enough peach in it for you!
Beautiful eye look here, Christine!
Thanks, Cathy!
The shade is so gorgeous..
It is!
