I got this mascara because I love Clinique products and I had never tried their mascara, but I trusted this product would be as great as everything else I've purchased from them. I was absolutely wrong. This mascara doesn't really do much to volumize my lashes and it smudges almost immediately after applying. It does define lashes, but for a product that didn't give me any additional volume or length, it simply wasn't worth how much the mascara flaked. Without exaggeration, the mascara left gray-black rings around my eyes within just a couple hours. It is probably the worst mascara I have used.

This was the first lipstick I purchased from Maybelline's Creamy Matte collection, and it completely sold me on the formula of this new lipstick. Beyond the collection's impeccable creamy, moisturizing, matte formula, this color is so one-of-a-kind. Blushing Pout, at first, looks like a baby pink nude, but there is just a hint of a periwinkle undertone that catches my eye anytime I see my reflection when I'm wearing this lipstick. It's professional because of how close to a nude this shade is, but it is also unique and almost daring from how blue and cool-toned this pink wears when it is actually on the lip. This color is just so effervescently feminine that I can't help but associate it with spring flowers and strawberry ice cream.

Every shade in Maybelline's Creamy Matte collection is stellar, but this is one color that really stands out for me. It's my go-to hot pink because it makes me look and feel like a Barbie from the early 90's. This is such a fun pink that pops and always gets tons of compliments. Like all the lipsticks from this collection, it is richly pigmented in a single stroke, matte, creamy, and long-lasting.

Straight up dupe for MAC Ruby Woo, except creamier and more moisturizing. The best red lipstick I have ever or will ever own. Doesn't dry out my lips. Basically weightless. Doesn't even need a liner. I look like a pin-up girl whenever I put it on. Perfection.

Petal Kiss by Flower Beauty is one of my most worn lipsticks, so much that I've had to repurchase it twice. It incredibly matte and long wearing, and has a pink/taupe/nude shade that goes with anything. It is incredibly matte and doesn't need a lip liner -- it stays put and looks finished all on its own. If you don't exfoliate your lips, this lipstick will show dryness like most matte lipsticks. Doing a quick sugar scrub before applying will knock off any dead skin and ensure this lipstick looks creamy, rich, and flawless. It has highly pigmented, one-stroke coverage often boasted by MAC, and yet it is a drugstore lipstick. I love this lipstick.

This isn't my favorite mascara, but if I need a mascara that will withstand *~anything~*, this is the mascara I use. This mascara is beyond waterproof and it doesn't come off until you make it come off, but it also removes flawlessly without a hint of residue. The application is a two-step process that won't go great the first time you use it, but does get better as you become more experienced with the brush and consistency of the products. I recommend using a lash curler if you want a more dramatic look as this mascara defines your lashes, but doesn't do much to volumize or curl the lashes. You start with the primer, which I think is a good idea no matter what mascara you are using. Do not over-apply this primer. I typically use Urban Decay's Subversion to prime my lashes, and you almost cannot over apply that primer because it goes on so seamlessly and builds to very long lashes. This primer is not as seamless -- it can build to a maximum of two coats before your lashes are totally sticking together and look like spider legs. Also, it just feels a bit wetter than my favorite primers.Once you have on the right amount of primer, you'll come in with the tubing mascara. You'll find that the primer likes to peek out from under the mascara, so you'll have to build a couple coats. That's okay -- tubing mascaras are meant to build. I would say the ideal build for this mascara is 2-3 coats, any more will get you back into spider leg territory due to the consistency of this mascara. If you smudge any around the eye, just keep going and worry about clean up later. Tubing mascara dries and you can just knock it off your skin after it has dried without smudging any mascara around your eye make-up.This mascara is defining and natural-looking once properly applied. The greatest benefit to this product is that it wears all day and all night without any touching up. It wears through swimming, crying, sleeping, rainy days -- nothing can make this mascara come off until you make it come off. When it is time to take off the lashes, simply wet the area and gently rub with your finger tips or use a damp cloth. The mascara will come off as little tubes and there will be no residue. I just remove them when I wash my face at the end of the day and they just come right off while I'm using soap and water.

This is the best mascara I've ever used and I've tried tons and tons of mascara. I have spent years trying to find a mascara that wouldn't smudge or give me racoon eyes. I have pretty oily eyelids and mascara does not stay put on me -- not even waterproof formulas of very highly-rated brands. I've spent as much as $60 on a mascara before, and while that was a good mascara, Maybelline's Lash Sensational still wears longer without flaking or smudging. To be clear, I'm not even using the waterproof formula of this mascara -- just the regular formula, and it withstands hot summer days, dancing all night, and even sex.It wears just fine without a primer, but I use Urban Decay's Subversion primer to really lengthen my lashes before applying Lash Sensational. The result is very long, cat-eye, fully fanned out lashes. This look is great for a cat eye, winged eye, or just a natural look with very prominent lashes. I won't go as far to say they look fake -- they don't -- but they make your natural lashes look long and bold. For a mascara that is under $10, this product is a steal when you compare it to high dollar mascaras that just aren't as good.

This is such an amazing concealer. I use it everyday blended with ivory and medium-toned concealers to cover blemishes and discoloration, but if I'm doing a ~*full face*~, this product is essential for creating a dramatic highlight contrasting to my contour. The lavender blends to a super-white color with blue undertones that offsets the yellow/orange tones of my skin. I sometimes use it blended with an olive concealer to completely destroy any trace of redness on my cheeks resulting from mild rosacea. This concealer can also be used to prime the eyes for cool toned eyeshadow or a perfectly white and clean lid for a spot-on pin-up look. This concealer is essential to all of my looks and I cannot live without it.

This is the perfect pressed or baked powder highlighter. The best highlighter that I've ever used is still Benefit's Watt's Up, but I've come to be more into applying a powder highlight with a brush after my make-up than blending in a creme or liquid highlight.Makeup Revolution's Golden Lights is a luxurious, elegant satin finish without any bulky glitter to find flaking off of you as the day and night goes on. It stays put and continues offering a consistently bright and yet understated glow. I love it on the apples of my cheeks, above my brow, the corners of my eyes, the tip of my nose--this stuff if so versatile that it can go anywhere, even your shoulders. For $6, this highlighter out-shines the rest and is a great value. Also, while the packaging isn't anything fancy, it does not come open in my bag and is great for traveling.

I was eager to love this foundation as it has been reviewed by many beauty bloggers as a great drugstore foundation, and while it is a perfect match to my skin tone--and that is rare--this foundation is just way too matte and hard to blend. I found myself reaching for three different shapes of beauty blender to try and get this foundation to blend. I tried using my fingers to blend it and that was even worse. I wore this foundation for a few days, hoping to figure out application and what I was missing out on that my favorite beauty bloggers loved. It just never caught on for me. It took forever to blend during application then would bunch and crease throughout the day. Moreover, while the foundation claims to be "weightless," I couldn't shake the feeling that my skin was slightly itchy or just couldn't breath through the very heavy, matte coverage. The coverage is so matte and powdery that the gentle strokes of highlighter on my cheeks would diminish in minutes, though this is a highlighter (Makeup Revolution) that typically lasts all day on my Clinique and Laura Mercier foundations.

I purchased this from Sephora and actually returned it after a couple uses. This range of shades from Dior simply does not go light enough to suit my skin tone. Ivory is the lightest shade in the Diorskin line, and it is at least a couple shades too dark for my skin. I realized this when, after taking off lipstick to apply a different shade, the slight ring left around my mouth from removing make-up was way lighter than the skin still holding foundation just around that area. This could be fixed by using a very light concealer on the parts of my make-up that might show more obvious blending issues, but for $50.00, a foundation should match and wear like a second skin.Beyond matching, the foundation is good, but not great. It goes on thin and offers medium to full coverage once you start building. It is buildable, but has a very tacky, almost sticky texture that never quite dries. Because of how much product is required to build and get an even finish due to the texture, I could see this running out faster. Finishing power is a must with this foundation, and while I use a translucent powder to set my face every time I wear make-up, you shouldn't have to bake just to make skin feel normal again. Despite feeling tacky, this foundation doesn't bunch together or crease and stays in place throughout the day. It could be a good foundation for someone who can find their shade, doesn't mind the texture, and generally loves Dior make-up. To be honest, I think you have to come in loving Dior make-up in order to love this product, and Dior has simply never impressed me, though their highlighter is beautiful--but whose isn't these days.
