Maybelline Gold (300) Master Strobing Liquid Illuminating Highlighter Review, Photos, Swatches
Gold (300)
Maybelline Gold (300) Master Strobing Liquid Illuminating Highlighter ($9.99 for 0.67 oz.) is a medium, yellow gold with warm undertones and fine pearl. This shade had the finest shimmer of the three released, which made for a better all-over glow product as it did not look like distinctive particles scattered over the skin and yielded a luminous sheen instead.
The formula is supposed to have a “micro-pearl liquid” texture that can be used “alone, [mixed] with primer, [mixed] with foundation, or [as a] spotlight” on the face. It had a lightweight, thin texture that felt more emollient compared to the other two shades in the formula, which made it work better for mixing in with base products but more prone to being rather sheer when patted onto the high points of the face as a standalone highlighter. It had semi-sheer coverage, which did not build up well. It wore well for seven and a half hours on me alone.

I should get this try out, good rating and I’ve been looking for a more sheer highlighter that I can use on light makeup days or days that I need to tone it down.
Nice to see that this did better than the other two, and there are no glitter particles.
Let me know if you try it, Aj! 🙂

Love the softer, diffused effect this one has! I do have Whisper Of Gilt, but this would fit nicely on less made up days when I only want the glow instead of full-on beams seen from outer space!
Haha, yes, it wouldn’t be quite so intense 😉
That’s a much nicer and better product, giving a subtle look on your face.
Thank you! 🙂
ooo…
Now that’s gorgeous! I’m going o have to pick up a tube of that as I think it would look fabulous on the Indian brides my niece does make up on!
I have these and haven’t tried them yet but now I’m itching to try this one lol. I feared they may be super shimmery like the L’Oreal ones. This one looks perfect for mixing though! I’m curious to see how I’ll like it compared to my holy grail Becca Topaz SSP
