The Baked Blusher formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” and have a “natural soft effect” with a “hint of shimmer.” Sadly, this shade was also not nearly as pigmented as described, which was consistent across all shades I tried from the range–they are sheer, lightly buildable, so they are better for someone who prefers that level of coverage. The texture of this particular shade was soft, smooth, and blendable on the skin, while the shimmer diffused nicely into a soft glow that didn’t make my pores look any worse for the wear. On me, I started to see signs of fading after six hours of wear, which was also typical wear across this formula, so a good primer or base might help enhance the longevity of this formula.

I think this would be nice for very pale skin, but I wish brands would stop calling just about every blush “highly pigmented” when they aren’t! How about something like a “soft veil of color” or something like that?
I totally agree, Katherine! There’s nothing wrong with a buildable blush!
Oooooo that is preeeetttyyy. An Ulta just opened up in my town (woot!) so I’ll look out for this.
Yay! 😀
It looks more like a *light*, airy, highlighter, not a blush. Probably lovely on very fair or pale skin. Definitely wouldn’t do squat for me, though.
Totally understand, Nancy! 😀
The CoverGirl dupe might be a better solution!
Good call!
