Makeup Geek Honeymoon Blush ($9.99 for 0.15 oz. pan; $12.99 for 0.15 oz. compact) is described as a “light pink with mauve undertones and silver flecks.” It’s a muted, rosy peach with a frosted finish. Marc Jacobs Beauty Shameless (220) (P, $30.00) is warmer, less shimmery. MAC Stereo Rose (2014) (LE, $30.00) is warmer, lighter. MAC Perfect Topping (2014) (LE, $30.00) is lighter. Hourglass Dim Infusion (P, $35.00) is less shimmery. MAC Talk of the Town (LE, $25.00) is more mauve. MAC Light Year (LE, $30.00) is slightly pinker, warmer. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

This shade was designed more of a highlighting blush, per Makeup Geek’s video preview of the range, and it definitely depends on your skin tone how it might look. The texture is a little drier compared to other shades, though still soft and blendable during application. On fairer complexions, this could easily be an everyday, shimmery blush, but with the right brush (like a fan brush), it could be a dusting of shimmer as well. I’m more medium in complexion, and it is primarily a highlighter that adds slight warmth but mostly shimmer. I was nervous that this was going to emphasize pores, because of the silver flecks in it, but it ended up having a subtler sheen once applied. It wore well for just over eight hours before breaking down slightly.

Not trying to be rude but is it the same blush on both cheeks?? I wish I’d ordered this one but “silver flecks” threw me so I didn’t!

A perfect layering blush. I think this would work well for subtly ‘fixing’ the few blushes in my stash that I find challenging because they run too cool for my complexion. I can also see this tackling a really strong cheek colour to take the edge off. I need this. I didn’t pick this one up with my original order, but will definitely place on wishlist for next.

This is so pretty on you Christine! I like the subtle glow. I was deciding btw this and Romance and went with Romance since it had more color. This is a great highlight…definitely going on my wishlist.

So delicate. I really want to try a Makeup Geek surprise mashup of products as I’ve never tried any! 🙁 I do have a dupe, but I really like all that Makeup Geek is about! Still can’t get hands on Sleek or Fyrianne.. Sigh. So, okay, the different cheek thing was finally brought up.. Christine, can you please explain this to me? I’ve wondered about that for sooo long! Thank you! 🙂

Have you tried getting Sleek via Amazon? That’s usually what I do 🙂

I only have two cheeks, but I am often reviewing/testing far more cheek products than that a given time, so I usually test a shade on each side. For swatches, for instance, there are 13 Makeup Geek blushes – my skin cannot take applying and removing 13 different blushes in one sitting. Even after doing 6 back-to-back, my skin usually takes a hit.
