The formula is supposed to be pigmented, long-wearing, and blendable (for more on how it compares to the previous formula, check out this post). The blush was incredibly rich in pigment, and it was easy to get full coverage with very little product–which means it can be easy to overdo it if you aren’t used to working with such rich and deep shades. The consistency was a little firmer, though soft, and for as rich as the shade was, it would have been more preferable if it was easier to blend out. When I worked with it, the blush applied unevenly, and it was a challenge to diffuse and move the powder enough to even out. I would recommend applying a layer of translucent powder over the skin (or base/foundation) before applying the blush, which helps with blending. On me, it wore well for eight and a half hours.

It’s such a rich color!
It is!
I do like the undertones on this one since a lot of warm browns pull an unflattering orange on me; however, the finish does look at bit challenging.
Yes, it is not a blush you’d apply if you didn’t have time to fix it!
Not for me but man, this is perfect for that 70’s vibe!
Good call!
It’s too bad that it was so difficult to blend, because I quite like the color and finish!
Right? ‘Tis a shame!
Wow, they didn’t skimp on the pigment here! Will be pretty on darker skin tones
Agreed!
I believe this one would be an excellent option for darker skintones as a soft, neutral type blush, like how MAC Cheek Pollen works for my med. olive skintone! Seems to have that sort of effect to it. Someone like myself (NC37-40) could conceivably use it, with a light hand, as a bronzer.
I totally agree, Nancy! It should be good on medium and darker skin tones in particular (but fairer complexions can definitely rock it, too).
LOVE LOVE LOVE this colour! I don’t know why – it’s not a colour I would ever reach for in Sephora, but I love the warmth!
How odd!
An interesting colour. I would have bought it if it didn’t need so much work, and with a colour like this, and my light skintone, it needs to blend out really well. Pity it takes so much work and time to get right.
Right? I love darker blushes but need them to still blend well!
I’m confused, are you wearing the same blush on both cheeks? Your cheeks don’t look the same. The one on the left is more pink, and the one of the right is more brown. It’s as if your brush had another color in it, or something.
As always, I swatch blush one cheek – the one that is closer to the center of the photo or the one that is tilted slightly towards you, the reader. Unfortunately, my cheeks can only handle a few swatches per day, so I only swatch one color per cheek in order to get more products reviewed and tested for readers!
That makes sense. It’s similar to my problem of too much eyeshadow and not enough eyelids. LOL! What do you do when you have to go outside?
I wear the two out 🙂 I really do! This goes for eyes/cheeks. I do normally have more of a luxury of keeping the cheeks in a similar color family or undertone compared to eyeshadow, so if I can, I might try to peach/coral blushes vs. peach and burgundy!

That’s awesome. My Mom always said, “Wear it strong.” Meaning, if it’s a little crazy or uncomfortable, if you wear it with confidence, people will think it’s exactly as it should be.
I totally agree with her! I think if you FEEL confident, it really comes through. It’s probably well-embodied in seeing say, a lipstick color I might not feel confident in on someone else and go, “Wow, they look amazing,” and it’s because they feel amazing in it and I would just look fidgety!
Every time I see a picture of a lipstick that your wearing and I love it, it always ends up being Honey Bear! It looks like I should just add it to my list!
Haha! 🙂 I like Honey Bear – very wearable for me!
i have light- medium skin can i use this as a bronzer and blush
Yes!
