Make Up For Ever Candy Pink (200) & Fuchsia Pink (201) Artist Acrylips Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Candy Pink (200)
Make Up For Ever Candy Pink (200) Artist Acrylip ($24.00 for 0.23 oz.) is a bright, cotton candy pink with cool, blue undertones and a cream finish. It had intense, opaque color coverage with little product.
It’s a liquid lipstick formula that is supposed to have “buildable color intensity and shine” with a “non-sticky, non-drying” formula that includes a slanted, flocked applicator and a squeeze-tube format. I don’t know that I would really describe it as buildable; I would say that you can apply the tiniest amount and get less coverage, though it would still be medium-to-semi-opaque and have less shine. For me, it seemed that more product yielded glossier coverage with slightly more pigmentation. The texture was smooth, lightweight, and spread easily across the lips. If I pressed my lips together, I could see faint “lines,” particular with lighter shades like this one. It lasted for five and a half hours on me and was non-drying. It didn’t seem to have any noticeable scent or taste.

Fuchsia Pink (201)
Make Up For Ever Fuchsia Pink (201) Artist Acrylip ($24.00 for 0.23 oz.) is a bright, medium-dark fuchsia pink with cool, blue undertones and a creamy, lightly glossy finish. It had good color payoff–from semi-opaque to fully opaque–with a smooth, lightweight texture that wasn’t tacky and felt comfortable tow ear. The color wore down to a satin finish (but never looked fully matte) after a few hours, though the color lasted for over six on me. I noticed that some color welled in my lip lines, which was my least favorite part about the formula, but it was true its non-drying claim.

Not my colors, but nice to see a non-drying formula, esp. for winter
It is comfy!
Not too bad in the quality and opacity dept., but definitely far too bubblegum-y or cool toned of pink and fuchsia shades for me! I only *barely* get away with UD Anarchy and MAC Pink Pigeon as it is.
They are really stark/bright colors, IMO, in the range so far!
I think they both are stunning, the 6 year old hello kitty girl in me really wants the Candy Pink, makes your already fabulous lips look so lush and full! MUFE rarely puts out a chintzy product, do they?!
They are pretty good! Only a few misses… and usually if they miss, the formula is a miss (at least, to me) vs. inconsistent.
Hi Christine, FYI your product link for Fuchsia Pink goes to Candy Pink in the description!
I also wanted to ask how the formula for these compares to the Too Faced Melted lipsticks? (the ones in the squeeze tubes with the flocked applicators, not the Melted Matte liquid lipsticks) They look like identical concepts!
Should be fixed!
Melted is more emollient – definitely more slip and creaminess overall.
hah, I actually really love Candy Pink on you. I usually can’t stand that kind of shade on anyone but it looks cute as anything on you.
Thank you, Liz!
What’s the verdict on the squeeze applicator itself? I’ve had some Korean lip products with the same thing going on, and they required a rather firm hand to dispense product. I’m very squeamish about the pressure necessary to get product out without squirting it all over my face like a fool.
I didn’t feel like squeezing it out was an issue 🙂
Fuschia Pink is stunning! I also love that the formula isn’t drying, though it is always annoying when a color settles into lip lines.
Looking very Barbie in Candy Pink, hehe 🙂 Not my kind of shade, but it’s well done!
These sound incredible! I love the pigment and the way they look on the lips.. I’m definitely interested in picking up the nude shades (no surprise there) and the reds!
I’m not sure if you are wearing a darker foundation or tanning but dang you look hella tan. I think these might be too drying for me. I like the finish though.
I like Fuchsia Pink, but find that I wear my lipsticks that come in traditional bullet form much more often than my liquid lipsticks!
The Fuchsia Pink (201) is nice, but I have dupes.
Ok so WOW- kinda bright but not the finish I was expecting. Maybe the darker shades will appeal to me. These look like a common liquid lipstick with less gloss than what I would want. And I really dislike those fuzzy applicators- UGH! Germ and lip gunk city!
Right now I’m disappointed but maybe actually trying the product will change my mind.
Thanks Christine for the review- always appreciated.
