9 Coral

Make Up For Ever 9 Coral Star Lit Powder ($21.00 for 0.02 oz.) is rich, medium-dark pink-coral with warm, golden shimmer. This particular shade was only listed as safe to wear on the cheeks–presumably as a blush, then–and not permitted for eye or lip use. The powder had a soft, silky texture that was incredibly finely-milled, which made it a lot easier to diffuse and blend out on the cheeks–something necessary for such a rich shade! It had medium, buildable pigmentation when applied dry, and opaque coverage was achieved when applied damp. The shimmer finish became more prominent when applied damp or when buffed more into the skin. This shade stayed on well for nine hours on me.

The Star Lit Powders can be used to “highlight eyes, lips and cheeks” with an “ultra-fine loose powder” that can be used “wet or dry to customize coverage intensity and luminosity.” While checking the weight on these, I noticed that the weight differs from shade to shade; this one had a mere 0.02 oz. while others ranged from 0.03 oz. to 0.09 oz. I also noticed that it appears the brand identifies what area you can use a shade on by listing an icon on the back of the jar in the shape of a pair of lips, an eyeball, and then a face (presumably for cheeks).

I so want to see the pink shades! This product looks amazing (A+ – wow). I will definitely be picking up one or two of the cool pink shades when somebody stocks them. Who knows when that will be, but I’ve been teased to death at this point, lol.

Wow, really beautiful. I have Becca Snapdragon and IT Cosmetics Pretty in Peony so I am covered. Too bad it can’t be used on the eyes. For me, probably would get used more on the eyes if it was safe.

Uhhhh! This color is hypnotizing this crazy bee to its flower! Beautiful! I wonder though why is unsafe to use as eye or lip product if you wanted to experiment otherwise? Gorgeous!
