Make Up For Ever S718 Salmon Artist Shadow (Blush) Review, Photos, Swatches
Make Up For Ever S718 Salmon Artist Shadow (Blush)
Make Up For Ever S718 Salmon Artist Shadow (Blush) ($21.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a light-medium peach with a hint of beige–there’s a muted quality there–and warm undertones with a satin finish. Make Up For Ever S714 Bisque (P, $21.00) is lighter. Make Up For Ever #225 HD Blush (P, $26.00) is a cream product, darker. Hourglass Dim Infusion (P, $35.00) is less shimmery. MAC Cream Soda (LE, $21.00) is more matte. bareMinerals Peace (P) is more beige. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
I was surprised that this was listed as a blush shade, but it is officially listed as one. The satin texture lends itself well for blush application, as the color goes on effortlessly, blends easily, and looks natural without being too shimmery or too flat/matte. It is a shade that will show up best on fairer skin tones than mine, though it gave my medium skin tone a slight peachy warmth (I think it is more noticeable in person). This shade was nicely pigmented with a soft, almost creamy consistency that was very smooth. On me, it wore well for eight hours before fading slightly.

This looks so nice! But Milani Luminoso is very similar on my skin, so I’ll pass.
Glad you have something similar!
This is one of my go-to shades. Love the effortless feeling it brings up and I never have to worry about using too much of it if I was in a hurry. I have seen a lot of similar shades from Japanese brands but not enough among western brands. Glad there are some now!!
So glad you’re digging it, Fuji!! 🙂 Works so well with just about anything!
That is very pretty!
Agreed!
I love this. I have a similar skin tone to yours, but I’ve never been comfortable in obvious blush. I buy them all but have to use a VERY light hand to get the look I like – very subtle. This looks like one I won’t have to be so careful with. Thanks!
No prob! It is perfect for foolproof color 🙂
As someone crazy in peach blushes, due to the fact that this is quite lovely and has great quality, and also taking into account that I don’t have any of these dupes (powder ones), I just need it.
I hope you love it!! 🙂
So pretty. With the name “Salmon,” I was expecting harsher and pinker. This is really natural and soft.
It’s definitely not the “color added” salmon, lol!
LOVE this look on you! The blush is absolutely lovely!
Thank you, Stephanie!
That’s a pretty color! I love a good peach blush.
Me too! 🙂
The blush is nice but does not go well with he the lipstick. Shouldn’t they be in the same color family, warm or cool?
Makeup shouldn’t have any rules 🙂 I don’t think that your blush needs to match your lipstick – it really depends on the shades themselves, what else you’re wearing, and so forth, but if you prefer something else, go for it. It’s your face 🙂
