Hit List: Must-Have Beauty Tool

What’s the Must-Have Beauty Tool that you’ve tried?

Share your pick!  And don’t forget to share why 🙂

That’s so tough! Do we count brushes? I feel like those are the tools that I couldn’t go without. I love products like the Clarisonic, eyelash curlers, and so forth, but brushes… they’re amazing and fun to play with. Beyond brushes, tweezers — wouldn’t be able to handle my unruly brows without ’em!

Thanks to Rosie for today’s topic!

I used to apply my liquid foundation with my fingers. I moved to using a brush. I recently tried the Motives Pink Beauty Blender. I love it. I prefer the firmness over the “original” pink beauty blender, as the product “sits” on top of the sponge. It allows for stipeling and great for under the eye area. It retails for $19.

I would have to say of all tools, an eye lash curler is my must have. I use the Shu Uemura. It is the perfect size for my eyes and really curls my insignificant lashes. I like them so much that when there are sales on the website I stock up and give them as gifts!

The original Beautyblender is always a must-have for me. I’ve repurchased it because it’s seriously my favorite for applying and blending my foundation, concealer, cream blush, and contour! I also think every girl needs a spoolie in her life. My brows would be crazy without my MAC 204!

Christine, I have a random question. I really really love the Charlotte Tilbury “The Uptown Girl” and “The Rock Chick” palettes, but I can’t decide which one to get… Would it be redundant to get both? Which CT quad has been your favorite?

So many options, but just because I don’t think it gets the attention it deserves, the Coastal Scents Pro Blending Fluff Brush! I have two and use them so much more than my Mac 217. I love this brush so much I’ll be stocking up on a few more!! For the price they are soooooo worth it!

for me it would be tweezers, eyelash curler is a 2nd. I freak out if I can’t find my favourite tweezers (good for brows, separating clumpy lashes, picking small things out of my daughter’s nose, etc)

Eyelash curlers, absolutely! Now I kinda wanna try the Shu Uemuras. I also have a dual-end metal lash comb slash spoolie brush that folds neatly so I can just pop it in my bag — an absolute must for me. e.l.f. Studio brushes, but also brushes in general. I love some of my synthetic kabuki brushes, so good for packing on product and smooth blending ❤️

Besides tweezers, I’d have to say my Panasonic Wet/Dry Epilator & Shaver (although I’ve only used it dry…). The epilation head is actually quite painless, and the shaver works well, and is ideal for quick touch-ups & more sensitive areas.

Easily the Beauty Blender sponge! I’ve tried several different sponges and there’s no comparison. It gives the most flawless airbrush finish and it’s pretty versatile. You can use it to apply foundation, highlight, contour, cream blush, etc. I love mine so much that I got extras lol. Everyone needs at least one!

Electric razor. My underarms are so sensitive to razor shaving. Every one said they’d eventually get used to it with regular shaving, but mine never did. Products/razors make no difference. An electric razor is the only way to go. On the legs, it’s not quite as smooth as shaving, but it’s lots quicker.

I would have to go with eyelash curler! My eyelashes are so straight and short naturally, curling them really opens up my eyes. I’m not going to count tweezers because I think if I had to give up all tools I’d probably go get them waxed or threaded so I could still curl my lashes! 😀 I am afraid of others grooming my brows though!

It would have to be my flat iron. I realize that’s probably not what this question was hoping for but a good flat-iron (first a CHI and recently another brand, the name of which I can’t remember) has changed my life more than any other single beauty tool. I finally have the sleek, smooth, shiny hair I’ve always wanted.

Hakuhodo and Koyudo brushes! Absolute favorites are Hakuhodo J242G (shadow laydown) and J142 (crease/blend), and Koyudo BP016 (blush). But I’ve got a _much_ longer list…

another vote for the beauty blender! i only like the pro one (the black one). i tried the original pink one and didn’t like it at all. the texture of the sponge felt different and it didn’t apply my foundation nearly as nicely as the black one does. i hated it so much i returned it and got another pro one instead.

I totally agree with you! Tweezers, Konjac sponges, Clarisonic sometimes now, and I freakin love my Marc Jacobs Bronzing Bronzer brush!! I use it with Nars Loose crystal (white/invisible) setting powder! 😀 Antimicrobial, PETA friendly, and oh soooooooo soft!!!!!!! I’d love a whole brush set like that! 😀 Oh! And q-tips! 😛
