Make Up For Ever #410 HD Blush ($26.00 for 0.09 oz.) is described as a “coral.” It’s a medium, coral-orange with a satin finish and warm undertones. Clinique Ginger Pop (01) (P, $21.00) is more shimmery, powder. Chanel Intonation (69) (LE, $38.00) is brighter. MAC Autoerotique (LE, $25.00) is more muted, powder. Fyrinnae Nordic Angel (P, $6.50) is more orange, lighter. Illamasqua Sleek (P, $26.00) is darker. Dior Pink Glow Blush (LE) is powder, warmer. See comparison swatches.

This is the other shade from Make Up For Ever’s new HD Blush formula that I tested, and it was consistent with the first shade. It had a lightly creamy texture in the compact that applied and felt like traditional cream blush initially, but after sitting on the skin for about thirty seconds, it turned into a powder finish that was satin-to-matte. The color applied evenly and smoothly, and it was easy to blend and work the color into the skin. It was nicely pigmented, so the color could look true-to-pan if desired, but it was easy enough to apply less or blend for a softer, sheerer look. This shade wore well for eight and a half hours on me.

I think this one would work well on pale skin, as it is more subtle. If possible, try it in-person. Depending on your overall coloring, you may find it works!

I have Stila Custom Color Self Adjusting Blush in Coral, it is a gorgeous blush, but it looks orange on me, and the blush itself doesn’t look orange at all. It’s kind of the same thing with coral lipsticks, they always make my teeth look yellow, even though I whiten my teeth!

I think that this will be the first shade that I try. I love orange-y corals!

I have to say, though, that I’m a bit disappointed that they replaced the liquid blushes with these. I loved the formula of the liquids and I liked that they had a pump. Frankly, the idea of putting a brush into a cream product freaks me out, it just seems so unsanitary to me.

I like the idea of a pump, but that stuff was sooo pigmented that I don’t know if a pump mechanism is really ideal either. I often used those by putting pumping out product on a metal palette, which is the same thing I’d do with a cream blush in a compact (scoop out a little with a spatula)!

As long as the brush is clean, I don’t find it any less sanitary than with any other product you’d stick a brush in, particularly if you do it repeatedly.

Okay I’m so getting this! Thanks for the review Christine 🙂

Oh and I have a question for you – I’m NC42 in MAC and just starting my eyeshadow collection. Could you recommend a few must have MAC shadows for my skintone? Thanks!

These are so lovely! And both the shades you reviewed are gorgeous on you. I still keep looking at the selection and just don’t know! A really pretty collection though. So appreciate you doing even the two! I love too many to believe.

I just got this color today. I am so in love with it, the finish is just perfect. I really hope that you get to review more colors. I hear that you can contour with one of the other shades, do you recommend a color from this line?

Tried these in Sephora recently & passed them up that day for Chanel’s Intonation, but only because it’s limited edition & these are not. I’ll definitely be going back for at least a couple of this new MUF formula. Same amount of product as Chanel’s cream blushes, really nice quality, but significantly less expensive. I just hope they blend, build up & wear as nicely, because Chanel’s are absolutely perfect. Really don’t want these to be a letdown.

I ended up returning all of my other MUF HD blushes in the pump packaging after I discovered ELF’s ridiculously great dupes for a mere fraction of the price, which I got on eBay at even cheaper than retail. Not sure if ELF even sells these anymore.
