Make Up For Ever #215 HD Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
Make Up For Ever #215 HD Blush
Make Up For Ever #215 HD Blush ($26.00 for 0.09 oz.) is described as a “flamingo pink.” It’s a light-medium, soft pink-coral with a satin finish and warm undertones. Milani Coral Cove (05) (LE, $7.99) is darker, powder. Sleek MakeUP Newport Peach (P) is very similar. Hourglass Luminous Flush (P, $35.00) is pinker, powder. Hourglass Diffused Heat (P, $35.00) is powder. Physicians Formula Warm (P, $11.99) is more shimmery, powder. MAC Something Special (P, $21.00) is less pink. MAC Keep It Loose (LE, $20.00) is lighter. See comparison swatches.
If you prefer your coral to lean a little pink (rather than orange) and are in the mood for something easily described as light, fresh, and springy, #215 is one to consider. The formula on this shade is consistent with the other shades I’ve tested: lightly creamy, non-sticky, nicely pigmented, and turns to a more powdery feel as it is blended and worked into the skin. Even though it takes on a more powder-like feel and look, it retains the blendability of a cream and has a beautiful satiny finish that doesn’t have a lot of sheen but doesn’t look flat. This shade lasted almost eight hours on me before fading.

Nifty, I really like this one. It’s warm but not so warm I won’t swatch it!
I hope this one works for you!
I LOVE this blush formula. I caved last week and bought this blush in the shade 510. What a beautiful cool-toned raspberry red! It looks completely natural when I sheer it out on my fair skin, and it lasted an entire day on me; about 9 or 10 hours. I almost want to say it ‘melted’ into my skin and got more beautiful as the day went on! Now to collect even more colors…
Yay!! Thrilled to hear you’re loving the formula, too, Larissa 🙂
So pretty! Gimme!
Hope you can try one 🙂
Wow! That’s gorgeous! These looks great for the summer time
I think it will be very nice in the summer, too!
First of all, this color looks lovely on you. For me, it leans a little on the pink side for my tastes. I guess I like my corals to lean more orange. But it looks like it blends beautifully.
Thanks, G!
Hm I don’t think it looks more like powder than cream at all actually. It looks very dewy on your skin!
Powders are only matte if they’re, well, matte – if they have shimmer, even powders can still look luminous 🙂
This looks sooo good on your skin! I’m afraid it would be too warm for me though.
I’m thinking the pink will pull out even more if you have naturally cool undertones!
Ooh! This one is a true peach in the swatch! It has more pink on your cheeks though 🙂 In any case, it’s very pretty!
The pink undertone seems to pull through a little more when applied as a blush than just swatched!
This blush formula is one of the best one for the spring! I have 5 our of 16 colours (I know, I’m obsessed), and each of them have impressed me beyond belief! The craem-to-powder formula is highly impressed!
What’s the next shade on your list? 😉
Ah, I’m always drawn to coral products as they tend to look best on me. I love the vibrancy! Might need…want….
This is a great coral!
Definitely a shade I have to test in store to mach sure it doesn’t lean too orange on my olive skin (too warm it clashes. lol ). The texture looks divine though.
The texture is awesome!
The MUFE woman at Sephora put this on me one day and it is PERFECTION. I am NC20 pale and it isn’t too warm at all. It’s gorgeous.
Yay!!
This one is surprisingly pretty… I may have to swatch this one at some point! There’s such an equal balance of warm & cool tones, and being so neutral, I wonder which way it would pull…
Would be curious! It still pulls pink on me, so I would guess pinker.
I got the #310 and it’s soooooo pretty! I’m thinking about getting all the cool toned ones 🙂
Yay!!
This is going into my shopping list. 🙂
Woohoo!
It looks so fresh on you Christine! xoxo
Thanks, Eesha!
This one is also gorgeous! I really need to finish my cream blush in order to try other ones! (I’m trying not to hoard them too much since they tend to go bad after two years)
Which one are you trying to finish at the moment?
This is exactly the color I want for this spring 😀
Could you maybe post pictures with ingredients lists, too? For those of us who break out from certain ingredients.
I don’t have any boxes, unfortunately! I just received the compacts.
Wow…I just loved this shade…really so pretty…:-)
It’s a lovely shade!
This looks great, if this brand was available in the UK I would try it for myself.
Here’s hoping MUFE becomes more available in the UK!
Looks gorgeous on you Christine! Loving the lip color…what is it?
Hi Danni!
It’s Sephora Fuchsia Rouge infusion! Just a heads up, I try to put what I’m wearing on each post now, and you’ll find that info below the last image/end of the post!
THE MAKEUP LOOK
On face: Guerlain Parure de Lumiere Foundation, Guerlain Les Voilettes Pressed Powder. On lips: Sephora Fuchsia Rouge Infusion.
Ilove these blushes, i want all off them. Your swatches are making want them even more!!
I hope you can check ’em out, Josie!
Love this shade! This is the type of color I like on a day to day basis, especially if I don’t feel like putting too much thought into my makeup that day.
It’s perfect for that type of look!
I bought shades #420 and #510. Make Up For Ever did an awesome job with these. It is so easy to apply and blend out. A much affordable alternative for those who are eyeing Chanel or YSL cream blushes. This is a much more affordable option. Love, love, love.
Love hearing this, Shelley! One of my new favorite blush formulas!
Do you have any idea how this compares to Guerlain Bubble Blush in Pink? They look rather similar from your swatches.
Thanks 🙂
The Cherry (02) one? Totally different – http://www.temptalia.com/guerlain-cherry-02-meteorites-bubble-blush-review-photos-swatches
Not the cherry, the pink (01) one. I have that one and they look pretty similar, was wondering if they were dupes.
I don’t think I have that one 🙁
I’m really curious how this compares to Tarina Tarantino’s Parasol blush. For some reason that is what first came to mind when I saw the swatch. Parasol is one of my faves so I’m trying to decide if I need this. Thanks.
Parasol is a lot pinker and more shimmery! 🙂
