OMG! Another Mac collection already! I like the highlighters and fluidlines and lipsticks. But, I’m not seeing anything that I don’t feel like I couldn’t dupe or easily get in a permanent product. So, I’m not feeling the need to go out of my way to get anything unless there are some stellar reviews . But, this releasing a collection every week is just too much. it takes the “special” out of it. they may as well just add better products to the permanent collection to make $ IMO.

More than half are repromotes…that’s a bit of an insult. I think MAC have run out of ideas and only do these collections because there will be a rush to buy anything if it’s limited edition. Creating scarcity always works but recently the quality and the originality just hasn’t been there. I’m running out of patience with them.

Can’t wait for this collection , Philip Treacy may be London’s leading hat couturier but he’s very proud to be Irish and often uses Irish themes in his work , genius !

Pretty, but I’m definitely waiting for swatches on this one. Hope you’ll have some, Christine! I also have to join the release-a-week/half repromotes-is-a-bit-much team. And — they really could have done more with the packaging!

(My 2 cents.)

I love the promo images. The model with the silver headdress has the most stunning, beautiful skin. I like the bright colors with the metallics. The lipsticks are pretty. Hollywood Cerise stands out the most for me.

On the one hand, repromotes are good if you’ve missed out on a product but on the other, so many repromotes in a “new” collection that should be exciting and unique….well I don’t think it works.

The model in a silver headpiece is incredibly stunning! I like the re-promoted or permanent items in a limited collection because they usually highlight a new way of using them. I appreciate the colour stories and creative promo images when the brands choose to include them. The promo eye shot from the 9-pan MAC palette was killer.

I’m so tired of MAC pumping out these collections. I wish they would just do two a year and spend a lot more time coming up with unique LE products instead of pumping out the same stuff they already have.

I don’t own a lot of Mac so I don’t mind repromotes. And I decided a long time ago I own so many eyeshadows and such that if I notice one Mac has that I’d like (I keep a list) I’d rather wait until they do a collection and maybe I could get it in a prettier package. I like the highlighting powders and the paint pots. So if they get a good review I’ll probably indulge in at least one of each.

The promo pics of the models are amazing! but for some reason the collection is not that exciting to me…i was most excited about the highlighters but once the over spray goes away the color doesn’t seem that amazing or different from whats already available. if i do get anything it would be that Nude champagne highlighter.

Hollywood Cerise is the standout for me. And maybe the Genuine Treasure paint pot, I love me some antique gold.

The second hat is just bizarre, and the third is just a fascinator – not even the most outrageous I have seen, lol. But that first one is strange but absolutely stunning. That could just be my love of crystals speaking…

This collection looks pretty skippable because it doesn’t look unique or innoative at all in terms of products, but those promotional images are stunning!
