MAC Nail Lacquer: Blissed Out, Dim the Lights

MAC Warm & Cozy Collection: Nail Lacquers

Two very opposite shades of nail lacquer come along with Warm & Cozy Collection.

  • Blissed Out is a creamy beige with just a touch of pink. It’s more beige than pink, and it has a very creamy finish, but there seems to be just the faintest bit of shimmer laced in the formula. Like very, very subtle – I didn’t even notice it until I saw it in the photos. It took three medium-thick coats to get a mostly opaque look. I found the formula to apply smoothly and evenly, though – no streaking.
  • Dim the Lights is a red-toned chocolate brown with a cream finish. This one I didn’t detect any shimmer, even in photos. It’s very rich and dark. The color reminded me of molten chocolate, actually. It’s an interesting shade, though I don’t think I’ll wear it much myself.

Hi Christine! How does Dim the Lights compare to Rich Dark Delicious from the Jin Soon Choi collection? I won’t receive the latter ’til X-Mas and want to know if I should pass on this one in the meantime.

Here’s my swatch of Rich, Dark, Delicious – http://www.temptalia.com/mac-nail-trend-fw-09-collection-swatches

It’s more of a black-brown, while Dim the Lights is definitely brown. Like it’s brown in natural, indoor, etc. light – it’s not as dark.

Val, are you saying Blissed Out looks similar to RBL’s Plié on your hand? Because Blissed Out looks very peach, and Plié always looked more grayed-out cooler pink to me.

Blissed out seems like what i expected Seasonal Peach to be / based on the cremesheen promo pic. (although i am one of the few people who is satisfied with S.P as well 🙂 )
