MAC Sunstruck Matte Bronzer Swatches

($35.00 for 0.28 oz.) is a new, matte bronzing powder available in 10 shades. It boasts 24-hour wear, so you know how much I’m looking forward to testing that claim ๐ Here are swatches of all 10 shades!

Wow! I didn’t realize MAC was coming out with them…..I just pre-ordered 2 of the new PML bronzers which should be here any day or I would have waited and compared the two brands….Hopefully I will be happy with my PML ones but if not it’s nice to know I have another option to consider…..
Because I ALWAYS use a light hand with bronzer, and the red-brown tone is what I always love, I’m eyeing Deep Rosy or Rich Rosy. I know that my skin color is only medium, but those red tones get me every time!
These looks nice for my light skin.
The swatches look decent, but I’m not sure I’d want to put anything on that would last a full 24h…..
These together with the radiant ones look like a very interesting and comprehensive launch for Mac! Formula wise the radiant ones judging by the swatches look very smooth and creamy and these matte ones show a stellar set of colour choices! Mac is really good at pin pointing undertones and is still the brand where itโs the easiest to find a good foundation match from a colouring point of view. In my opinion. So I really hope these also have a good formula. 24-hour wear seems unrealistic and an unnecessary and somewhat gimmicky claim and one most of us do not need it to live up to. But if that approach leads to them being a bit resilient to things like runny eyes or normal wear and tear – that would be great. So I hope the testing will not just be about proving them wrong about a 24 hour wear claim but rather can help show what this formula can do. As this is truly an interesting release that could be useful for a lot of people if the shade range also proves to be versatile enough. Clearly a more interesting line up compared to PMG any way that seems to be very warm toned and peach/orange/red-orange leaning all over.
I ho-e they managed to get this and the radiant formulas right this time as I think also it would be nice to see Mac regain some of their former glory and bronzers have been an area where they have excelled before.
Light Rosy intrigues me, I’m really fair and most bronzers look so fake on my skin. But the peachy pinkish tones in this one might actually work very well! Hopefully the formula is good!
Having Rosy and Golden shades is nice…but what about Neutral? Heck, even Olive?!
