I never really go for entire collections but there are 2 or 3 that I’d like to see again, all from MAC – the Daphne Guinness Collection, the Style Driven one and whichever one released a whole lot more of the large, Pro Longwear eyeshadows. I LOVE/LOVED those shadows (Keep Your Cool, Legendary Black, Sweet Satisfaction, Centre Stage) – I would love to be able to get a few more…

I just realized – looking at the photos for Back to the Beach collection – that I have Humid in the Back to the Beach packaging which makes it SO much easier to find in the jumble of black MAC containers. Ditto the Liberty of London and Alluring Aquatics packaging – I can find those babies so easily!

Nancy, when you consider the # of collections that companies release, the “nonsensical” names for some of them and the amount of makeup that many of us have, it’s hardly surprising that we get the names mixed up (was Aquadisiac a MAC single shadow from years back? Jog my memory for me!)

Same here, Kate. I’ve got a few and to be perfectly honest, those pans are WAY bigger than most people need (unless, I suppose, you only use 2 or 3 eyeshadows and that’s it – I know there are folks like that though I imagine most of us here aren’t). But there were a few shades I missed out on – there was a murky cool, slightly purple-y grey that I’d have loved and possibly a few others.

Sweet & Punchy is an absolutely iconic eyeshadow! Before acid greens were so ubiquitous.

I still think about the original Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland palette! Had sooo many of their best shades in one palette— Last Call, Mushroom, Maui Wowie.

Maui Wowie is one of my heartbreak shadows. I’ve got in BOS 3 (I think – the NYC one) but the fallout was so uncontrollable that when UD “reformulated” it and released it as a single, I bought it hoping it would be wearable. Alas, it also has bad fallout so I only use it occasionally, for casual type situations rather than work.

I had lost interest in Mac for the most part when their Temperature Rising collection came out but in retrospect, there are several items that I would have happily purchased. The other one that stands out is Laura Mercier’s “Canyon” collection from way back in 2011. Absolutely gorgeous autumnal colours but the only counter we had in town at the time got extremely limited supplies, so everything was sold out before I knew it.

Urban Decay’s NYC Book Of Shadows! MAC Aquadisiac collection! I missed out on both, and deeply regretted that. Both spoke to my East Coast Jersey Girl side, as I lived right there in Bergen County, always between 1-10 miles from NYC and an hour and a half away from the Jersey Shore, which we would go down to at least once a year for long vacations as a kid, a few such as an adult, plus many day trips or weekends. I sure do miss NYC and the ocean!!!

I don’t know if anyone remembers this. Stila x Swarovski. Specifically the Guinevere palette. It was one of my first forays into make-up, and even though it looked unassuming in the palette, it looked gorgeous when applied. I have kept remnants of the palette ( in particular the blush) however it’s suprisingly hard to dupe. A couple of years after its release Nars, The Balm, and even up to now Dior have released blushes of similar shades but it’s just not the same. The eye shadow had a champagne gold a little lighter than Kitten, before the Kitten shade became a craze.
I got so many compliments wearing that simple palette. And the case was beautiful. It’s been a long time since Stila did anything quite so lovely. I wish I got a back up , back then.

My ex-gf took a bunch of my colourpop palettes when we broke up back in 2017! I would love a re-release of some of the OG palettes. My makeup taste has moved on so much since then so I’m even sure if I’d end up actually buying them, but i would enjoy the option for the sake of justice if nothing else xD

Mac Heatherette, Neo Sci Fi (My personal favourite) and Lure collections. Super old yes, but those pretty colours, the packaging – so romantic and at the start of my really collecting makeup. The powder blushes and unique formulas! Be still my heart!

Hi, I can’t remember the name of the Mac collection, Denim something, early 00’s. I had a quad, wasn’t blue but had lovely grays and really liked it.
Also, patisserie lipstick, why? Porquoi? Just saying the name is fun!
Same time period, Chanel had a lipstick, I think it was called violette and part of their holiday collection. It was so pretty.

Don’t usually buy from collections, perhaps an eye palette or lipgloss every blue moon; so rather than answer, “I’d-want-it-to-return”, I’d REALLY REALLY like a “Please-someone-it-right” Star Trek collection. MAC just ruined it! And it’s the only collection that without awaiting anything I rushed and purchased (with shipping cost for Europe). Still hurt and maybe that’s tainted my interest in collections.

Only one?! I guess the collector in me has to go with MAC x Alexander McQueen, then.
Even though I highly doubt that the formulas of the shadows and Paint Pots would hold up to current standards, the cheek and lip shades aren’t really the kind I prefer, the eyeliners are no longer unique… However, back in 2007, despite already enjoying Alexander McQueen’s work, I wasn’t really old enough (and/or rich enough?) to be buying full MAC collections yet. And I regret that all the time! 😂 Having it now would really only be for sentimental value (seriously though, if for no other reason than the launch of Kohl Power in Feline—THE blackest black eyeliner!), but…I am sentimental…sue me.
