MAC Skin Nail Lacquer ($17.50 for 0.34 fl. oz.) is described as a “light peach beige [with a Cream finish].” It’s a light-medium, muted peach with warm undertones and a cream finish. MAC Thimbleweed (LE, $16.00) is lighter. MAC Sweet Pop (LE, $16.00) more orange. MAC Pep Pep Pep (LE, $16.00) is lighter. MAC Peachstock (LE, $16.00) is more beige, darker. MAC Myth (LE, $16.00) is lighter. MAC Life & Beth (LE, $16.00) is lighter. MAC Hangin’ Loose (LE, $16.00) is lighter, sheerer. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

The consistency was just slightly thick, but it didn’t pool along the edges or take too long to dry (about average). It had semi-opaque color coverage after two coats, but the major issue with this shade was the streaky application and end result. I hoped that it would self-level, but no such luck, so it looked a bit patchy and streaky in places. MAC makes this type of color over and over again, but I rarely have great success with the formula. The bristles of the brush seem too sharp or harshly cut so they make it difficult to get really even, smooth color. I typically get a week of wear out of MAC’s formula, which is normal for me for most formulas.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! You know, that’s what I was thinking – It would be a perfect mannequin nude polish for you, Christine, if it was a little less yellow-toned!

I kind of have to shrug on this – like ‘concealer’ nude lipsticks, I can’t summon a lot of enthusiasm/excitement for them! (Also, it’s certainly not ‘skin’ for this vampire, LOL!)

Call me sensitive but I hate the name of this color as if they’re implying that this is the “ideal” skin color or only color of skin. What if you’re lighter or darker than that? Chocolate brown can be “skin” and so can ivory white. I expect more common sense from MAC.
