MAC Sheen Supreme Lipstick Collection for Spring 2011 Official Photos & Information

MAC Sheen Supreme Lipstick

U.S./Canada Launch Date: March 3rd, 2011
International Launch Date: March 2011

Gloss is good, but there’s nothing quite as wonderfully, worldly cinematic as a Lipstick – and they’re coming back! We’ve updated formulas to make it all plausible. Sheen Supreme is the combination of the strong, sensually saturated colour of, say, Tilda Swinton’s I Am Love Milanese Lipstick, leavened with the light feel and clear vibrancy, the see-through sheen of a modern New York City Girl Gloss. Imagine no muddy undertones, gliding in pearl or creme finish, moisturizing with no sticky/tacky feel. It’s a new medium, with M∙A∙C in the lead. This is retro/modern – and
devastatingly chic.

Agreed- those nails were a purposeful decision. Going for a faded/edgy/bedhead college punk look. Kind of goes with the ease of a gloss meets lipstick that you can slick on and go- no “perfect” application needed for this chick.

But that said, I hate chipped nails too. Had I been in charge of the PR for this launch, full nails would have been painted! 🙂

the promo pick makes it look good, and that’s great because normally the promo pics just don’t get me pumped. The colours look gorgeous though. Lets pray the formula and color pay off is great!

Lauren Avatar

These look great! No surprise there. But I’m a little bit disappointed in the promo pic- they could have done better than, “IM WASTED/HIGH OFF MY ASS IN A BATHROOM”…

It looks like it belongs in Nylon magazine. I like it. It doesn’t look like a pic that belongs in one of their normal promos although I’ve never really hated their promo pics either…

It makes me wonder if they’re still in touch with their demographic. Would anyone here – high or not – waste a MAC lipstick on a mirror? This and the cute collection thing coming up make me wonder if I’m not getting too old for them to bother with me.

lizbeth Avatar

i swear its like MAC have us bleeding thru our pockets because of these back to back collections they come out with makes me wanna jump out of a window lol

Rebecca Avatar

normally I don’t like shiny lipsticks because they’re often quite sheer and I don’t see the point on building up the colour if it isn’t formulated for that. I hope that these are nice pigmented then I would like to wear time 🙂
I’m interested in 3 shades 🙂 the first one.. (the nude), the coral one and the pink/coral one =)

I’m loving #’s: 4, 6, 7, 9, 10**(mine!) & 14. I probably will only buy 2 depending on how much they are & what Christine’s swatches are like.

Loving the new lipsticks & shades! Finally!!! I agree with Chrissy. I would prefer regular lipstick tubes with the new formula & colors.
I am truly loving numbers (from left): 2,5,6,9,10 & 11-it looks dark mauvey–yay if it is).

LorraineER Avatar

I’m reserving judgement until I see swatches because the last few new lines of lipsticks they put out looked awesome at first but ended up being garish…like Peacocky and Pro Longwears. The colors were unflattering..hopefully these will be more wearable!

You know. I just realized how excited I am for all the Spring collections coming out & realized, this is just the beginning of driving all of us insane. We still have Summer, Fall & Winter/Holiday collections to hear about. Oh sweet Lord! How am I going to be able to deal with this?!

Becca Avatar

These look gorgous! But if they’re permanent, then I’ll hold off on them for a while, I just can’t spend so much money! And I love the promo pic- it
s very un-MAC-like

Brenda Avatar

While the promo picture is artistic, I am disappointed at the promotion/perpetuation of the woman as only having her sexuality to use. Yes, cosmetics in one way or another support that attitude, but up until now I hadn’t found MAC’s ads as bad as say American Apparel. I’m a little bit saddened now.

Nunuiviet Avatar

I won’t buy because already bought the Bobbi brown rich color lipsticks in almost all the shades. I keep my money for other collections like quite cute or surf baby

Carlee Avatar

oh, m.a.c, why are you so expensive? You burn a hole in my wallet!
seriously, some of the prices they ask for this is insane!i have found better in drug stores… although, they are very tempting*o*

I went to my macys mac counter this past thursday and was in love. Awwwe! So cute! These sheer beauties are perfect for beauty queen pagent makeup. There so soft and light very moist with the perfect amount of color. This collection of lippies realy seemed to over shadow the not-so-Jeanous collection. Thankx again Christine for this blog it realy helps to sort out your thoughts before going to the store.
