MAC Nude on Board Pro Longwear Bronzing Powder Review, Photos, Swatches
MAC Nude on Board Pro Longwear Bronzing Powder
MAC Nude on Board Pro Longwear Bronzing Powder ($30.00 for 0.42 oz.) is described as a “bronzy yellow tone.” It’s a warm-toned, medium tan brown with a subtle golden shimmer-sheen. Dior Coral Glow Bronzer is more orange, brighter. Illamasqua Disobey is similar, slightly browner, and totally matte. Burberry Summer Glow is warmer, browner. MAC Give Me Sun is not quite as warm-toned.
I LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. the Pro Longwear Bronzing Powders, and I’m so happy to see their return this year. The first thing you’ll notice is how utterly silky-smooth the texture is. It’s buttery, creamy, lightweight, and extremely finely-milled. It’s so soft, but it’s not powdery. Nude on Board blends out effortlessly, and it sits well on the skin without emphasizing pores. It’s supposed to give “sheer-low transparent coverage,” plus long-wear and with a natural finish.
Just to double-check the awesomeness that is the Pro Longwear Bronzing Powder formula, I re-tested wear, and I didn’t have any noticeable fading until the tenth hour. The color payoff is buildable, and it’s a subtle bronzer but it can be layered to more intense payoff, if desired.

Not the bronzer colour I would choose for me, but I think it’s a nice choice for others with warmer skin tones.
This is so pretty! The packaging is beautiful too 🙂
This is definitely best for very yellow and olive skin tones. It’s one of those shades that’s gonna make me look like I’ve been splashed with mud. I love how long-wearing it is, though, hopefully the other one will be better suited for us with lot of pink in our skin
Okay Christine, you got me wanting to try this!
Looks pretty! I think it would suit me well, this shade…
I do not need more bronzer, I do not need more bronzer, I do not need more bronzer…
9-10 hours! that’s impressive! what’s the difference between nude on board and sun dipped?
One’s yellow, one’s brown and gray in tone!
I got Nude On Board last summer and it really was impressive! I wore it like every day! I don’t think I have money for this one though 🙁
Most of the products in this collection seem to be a hit! I’m very interested in trying one of these powders. I use bronzed every day and I’m looking for something new to try. Thanks, as always, for a great and helpful review!
I got this when last year when it came out with the Sailor collection. I don’t often reach for it because it is too yellow, and I do have a yellow undertone. I think it’s just personal preference, but this time it looks like I will be getting Sun Dipped. I agree on the longevity of the product and how it’s not too powdery and it’s very buildable so if you’re one that is heavy handed this product is very forgiving. Love these!!!!
I’ve been lusting after Nude on Board ever since the Hey, Sailor! collection version got all sold out 🙁 I’m so glad MAC decided to re-promote it.
Christine, I have Sun Dipped but I’m having a slight problem applying it with 167SH. Which MAC brush would you recommend, one that would work best with Nude on Board?
I use the 116!
Christine, you use the 116, is it the shape because it’s a smaller brush?
I’m contemplating getting the 138 Tapered brush but I already have the 168 Angled Contour. Do you get more use out of the 116 than 138?
I rarely use the 138 – maybe for really translucent powders, but I don’t reach for it very often.
Got it. Thank you!
Hi Christine, how would this look on NC40-42 skin tone?
I think it would work!
thank you!
This is so absolutely gorgeous! I just might be ordering this with my Maestro foundation soon!
so glad this is back. I bought 2 with last years collection and finished my first one a few weeks ago so I had to use my back up. I hope they make this permanent, but in the meantime I’m stocking up again.
Looks lovely on you! I ordered this the other day over the other bronzers and am happy that the colour seems the right one for me too.
So this bronzer arrived today and i’m very impressed. It looked a little strange when I applied it but once I got used to it, it was a pretty shade against my light indian skin (medium olive?). Worth the purchase!
Super happy for you, Rad! 🙂
I notice you describe this as “medium tan.” Do you think this would work for fair skin tones, or would it be too dark?
I think it would work!
Hey Christine ,
These look great but I am having a little trouble choosing one for my skin tone . What would you think compliment a nc42 ?
Help :0/ lol
Thanks
I think Nude on Board would!
Thank you so much ;0)
So happy to see these Pro Longwear bronzers are good! Totally skipped it last year. Yay to second chance! 🙂
Christine, would you say this is safe or *nude and subtle enough to set or powder the neck and chest areas? (Trying to avoid that totally pale chest with a made-up face even when foundation matches color; hope that made sense! ). OR should I go for loose powder? I’m thinking Guerlain’s Voilette.
Yes, I think they would be! 🙂 But you might look into body bronzer only because they usually come in larger quantities for less (though this is a lot of powder)!
Thank you!! =)
Yes! I have yellow tomes and I’ve been using Too Faced bronzer forever. It’s matte and I apply it lightly all over to look alive since my collection is so fair.. could this be used all over also? Or no because its not completely matte.. I don’t want a shiney face. 🙁 but this color is so tempting!!
I think it could be – it’s more luminous than shimmery, I would say.
Would you recommend this for nc30 Asian skin?
Yes!
Would this shade work on an NC37 face? Or would you recommend Sun Dipped?
I think it would! But both would work.
What is your face shade by the way? Just so I can get some perspective on products i’m looking at on you and how they compare to me. Thanks Christine!
I’m NC25/NC30! 🙂 I usually feel like I’m medium but a LOT of medium foundations seem to be too dark for me, and then light-medium ones are usually a little too light!
Thanks Christine! I’m still trying to figure out my skin tone too lol. Have a great rest of the day!
Hi Christine which one would u recomend for a c5 skintone?bit I might get a lil darker in da summer 🙂 Would they work to countour?
Sun Dipped might work for contouring, but Nude on Board is too warm-toned!
What is the difference between these and the other bronzing powders in the collection? I’m confused lol. Thanks!
Well, the other bronzers were stiff, hard to apply, and generally required scraping or removing the first few layers to use!
Hello im curently à 5.0 in matchmaster. Which bronzer do u recomened? Something not to dark or too orange or red 🙂 something nice and golden
Nude on Board!
LOVE IT LOVE IT LOOKING TO BUY MORE TO BE TAN ALL YEAR ROUND
